Got an email from the 1/1 Cardboard Crusader last night! LOL

Here is my listing, it is an ebay 1/1 Peyton Manning jersey# dual Sign of the Times Eli/Peyton Auto.

Here is the email I got from the 1/1 Cardboard Crusader:

Dear astronixcards,

This is not a 1/1 it is a 18/50 I will be contacting ebay about your listing.

I thought that was pretty funny! Here is my reply:

Dear far-outdude,

Why? It's a 1/1 jersey number and there are buyers out there that collect these and marking it as a 1/1 helps them find them in a search engine.

I won't change the listing because it is what it is. Good luck contacting ebay about the 10 million other listings that are exactly the same way.

Ebay's definition of keyword spamming:

"Keyword spamming is when people use words or details that have nothing to do with their items so that their listings will show up in search results."

Your cards is not 1/1 in any way (Edit: whoops typed too fast). You are keyword spamming.

To MANY buyers, including myself, a jersey number card is a 1/1 and gets a premium from collectors of these cards.

Should the Cardboard Crusader go after every seller that lists a card as RARE or a SHORT PRINT that is not? Where is the line on what is technically a SHORT PRINT?

+1. It's not a 1/1. You should list it as HIS JERSEY NUMBER! or something like that. I can't stand auctions that blast 1/1 everywhere when it clearly isn't. It's out of control now too.

BUT, for him to take the time to email all the sellers is just stupid IMO. I just look past all these stupid 1/1 auctions and get annoyed on the inside! (Well, at least until now while I'm ranting!!) Too many people try to save the world. This tool is clearly one of them!

When I search 1/1's on ebay, I am searching also for jersey number cards. It helps me find them. Since ebay restricts your characters in your listing saying JERSEY would also bring up every frickin patch card ever made!

I don't see why people get upset about this honestly, but obviously this is a touchy issue for some.

No big deal to me. I use ebay 1/1's because they work, never tried to hide it and won't stop using it as long as my competitors are doing it in the marketplace.
