First Madden NFL Experience

Im sure a lot of people here have played the madden NFL series at some point. I was thinking about the very first game I played and how it got me into sports and card collecting.

I lost 60-0 and had no Idea what I was doing. I dont remember what teams I chose but it was a long game and very frustrating. I just kept running the ball. And this was Madden 2004

So if youve played do you remember your first game? If so what was the score

I dont remember my first game, but I remember an incident that no one believes me about.

I believe it was Madden 2000 on the playstation. I was playing as the Vikings. I ran the ball with Robert Smith, and he had gotten injured. The cart came on the field, and it said he DIED. I kid you not, where it said how long he would be out for, it said DEATH.

No one has ever believed me, but I know what I saw and thats all that matters.

wow. I dont believe it either but sometimes when I played I would have a few injuries so sometimes I would see how hurt they can get. Best I did was out for season

I remember playing Madden 04 and my brother way the Ravens and he hit X to do the diving tackle (which never really worked). Any way, someone else got the sack fumble and his X tackle turned into a no look on handed interception by Reed. Crazy!

I think I first played Madden in '99 on PC. I sucked, couldn't beat a team unless I used one of the super good All-Madden teams and played one of the worse teams in the league at the time. Got a lot better and eventually moved to consoles. Madden 2009 or 2010 whichever it was was pretty fun. I got really into online play and was doing well, got into the top 250 or so players worldwide on PS3. Problem is none of the top players will play you at that point because they don't want to screw up their ranking so I lost interest. Could have been higher, used very spotty wireless for a lot of games so I'd lose games automatically when I lost my connection during a game. Probably cost me 5-10 games. Thought about getting in a tournament but was scared of making a fool of myself, top 250 is good out of thousands but not great. Plus everybody just cheats, finds certain players and glitches to exploit. Every game I won was the hard way, actually playing and using strategy.

I actually learned madden before I had ever seen a football game. It's what got me info football and the NFL. I believe it was 04. I was thrilled with the addition of MUT and still love the mode.

I won't try and banish Madden forever.. but I will definitely agree that NFL2K was the $hit!! All around, at least up until 2007 or so.. That was THE best, most complete football game of all time.

I had a similar experience. My rb it injured and the cart came out to pick him and but ran him over. He was retired after that one.

my first was probably 08 or so. i play a lot and have been in the top 1000 the past 2 years (whatever thats worth

) first time i played online was M11.

I stopped playing Madden when you had to hit 6 buttons to throw a pass.

I was playing my friend in Madden 2006. I was the Saints and he was the Panthers. I got the kickoff and if I got a TD I won. Well I broke free with Reggie Bush, and dove into the endzone...well I was out at the 2, and I lost the game, as time expired. Looks like showboating does nothing but make you lose...

On Xbox live my opponent intercepted my spike. I've also had a game online where I came back from 35-17 with 2 minutes left, recovering 3 consecutive onside kicks. If anyone plays mut13 on xbox360 hit me up!
