BEWARE: Fake Barry Sanders patch on ebay!

Just wanted to point this one out in case anybody was looking at it or buying from this seller. Here is the auction link and a picture of the horrible fake which is from a new style lions jersey and not what Barry used. Check out the real patches below to compare.

I know you really have to do your homework on every card to be safe. I really feel bad for the people bidding on this terrible fraud of a card!

Did it have the same patch in it at that point? So sad to see someone deface a Barry card.

Yes this seller purchased the card this way so they may not be aware. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt at this point.

It may be obvious to the Lions fans, but I can see how someone could fall for this. It's easy to forget the era in which players played when the jerseys were different; especially if you are younger and may only be familiar with the newer, more modern jerseys.

Thanks for pointing it out though. Checking the patch is one of the last things I look for. I can't believe there is such a profit to be made dressing up a patch serialed to 75, even if it is a HoF player.

Btw, that 3/5 Sanders patch/auto is SICK. Love it.

How about the majority of patch cards are garbage so called "event worn" junk??? I personally don't know why anyone bothers spending big money for that crap...

Not that I can vouch for the seller of the card, but he once bough a 2011 Limited Reggie Wayne logo shield auto 1/1 off me for $250 perfectly.

Since this seller purchased this card the way it is I don't really fault them or think they are shady. I have contacted them as have other members and the auction is still up but maybe they have not checked their messages yet? I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully they see the messages at some point and respond at least or take it down so they don't pass this bad card on to the next person.

That might be the worst fake patch of all times heave had like 3 or 4 jersey changes since the days of Sanders playing and they choose the most recent to make the fake
