Yeah. I think they should as well. I dont give a crap about the argument they get to go to school for free.

If people are paying big bucks to go watch these guys play, then they deserve a piece of the pie.

They don't own the rights to their product.

Just like a graduate student who uses university equipment to develop a new multi-million dollar drug doesn't directly receive royalties.

Take your skill somewhere else if you demand payment? There are no other places? I think that answers the question.

I've never heard of anything like this with any college athlete, ever. This is pretty weird that a mob of students would just follow him around the campus.

When you're a living legend and rock star and the greatest college football player ever you can't just hang out with the public.

That was not the point. I think many actually believe that is the correct word. I've never heard anyone say it, but I see it typed here daily.

But, thank you for the compliment.

And again - every other college player does it.

So either Texas A&M students are all psychos - or Johnny Football has an inflated opinion of himself.

He isn't the first "rock star" QB at a Major University - yet all the other went to class.

And yes I got your sarcasm - or what I hope is sarcasm. Haha.

Congratulations, you know absolutely nothing about football if you're comparing Manziel to Tebow in any way other than hype

Pretty sure I read that Cam Newton is at Auburn taking classes right now...Kids where posting pictures of him bring donuts for the whole class and going to Auburn basketball games sitting in the student section.

Correct. They've shown video on ESPN of Cam at class. Greg Oden has attended 95% of OSU Basketball games this year (sitting in the student section - I've seen him at all the games) as he is at Ohio State right now taking classes.

I can't speak for every school - but I can speak for Ohio State and Arizona State where I physically saw these guys in class, at the Union, at the Oval throwing a freaking frisbee around...they were college students...and normal college students don't mob other kids.

Considering 45,000 kids in Columbus or Tempe can leave these guys alone I think Johnny Football will be fine.

Terrelle Pryor was a "rock star" at Ohio State (well up until his last year at least) - he still went to class. Troy Smith went to class while winning a Heisman. Greg Oden went to class. Braxton Miller is on the cover of Sports Illustrated right now for the season preview - not Johnny Football - and he still goes to class.

So as I said - either A&M students are nut jobs compared to the rest of the major universities out there - or Johnny Football thinks he is a bigger deal then he is.

Greg Oden....Cam Newton....please don't compare the second coming to these guys. We can't risk Johnny's health on petty things like going to class.

Wait....people at A&M don't honestly think they're going to win a National Championship do they? Please tell me they dont.

Your right, not like we aren't preseason Top 5, Top 5 in Vegas, play an Alabama team at home we beat on the road last year, play a LSU team that lost 11 players to the draft and we don't play Florida. Stick to Saturday morning cartoons.

Johnny's family has money, they are in the oil business. He can drive a nice car. As far as taking classes, give me a break. Cam is back on the Plains finishing his schooling in a classroom. The funny thing to me is all of the students swangin' on little Johnny's Johnny. Vince, I really hate to break it to you but you absolutely will not win a NC this year. This is coming from a lifetime supporter of a team that went 3-9 last season. Your o-line is will simply not even be close to giving Mr. Football the protection he had last year.

We lose 2 lineman and suddenly we have no hope. The 1st LT picked in the 2014 draft slides to LT, a RS JR that will play on Sundays slides to RT and a guy that is part of the biggest football family in professional sports slides in at Center. Our line goes from A+ to A. If you don't think we are one of the 5-6 teams that will compete for a NC next year that is just plain ignorance.

I certainly didn't say you don't have hope. I said you will not win the NC. I agree that you are a top 5 contender, hands down. I think that the running game is unproven and without the element of surprise this year the teams will be better prepared to slow you down, maybe not stop you but at least slow the bleeding. A&M's sloppiest performance last season was against Alabama and y'all still pulled through. I love Coach Sumlin, my cousin played for him at UH. He's a tremendous leader and you have a lot to be excited about. I hope you all beat every team this year... except the mighty Auburn Tigers This conference is about tradition and domination, I'd pull for the Aggs over any non-conference team but until you get to the big dance you have to understand that I'd be a fool not to believe we are the team to stop you.

How is that a bad comparison? De'Anthony and Mariota are two of the best college football players - both may run for the Heisman next year.
