Why are the Precious Metal Gems so sought after? What makes them so special? Sorry, but I never really got into the Fleer stuff before so I don't know what makes the PMG's so special.

Any insight welcome.

They are one of if not the most popular parallel sets ever made originally back in 97, 98 and 99 in football and basketball they sell for even more! Upper Deck brought them back this year in Retro.
