Default What would you rather?

A BGS 9.5 w a 9 auto, or a BGS 9.5 with the auto ungraded?

The card in question is a RG3 NT RPA. The card looks to me like it would get a 9.5 but the streaking on the auto (like most of his in the set) makes me believe it would get a 9 as an auto at best.

Just wondering on what your personal preference would be if purchasing. Personally I'm leaning towards a 9.5 with no auto grade but would love to hear opinions.

I agree, the 9.5 with no auto grade.

Unless you have a time machine, you have to get the auto graded if you get the card graded by BGS.

Ugly autographs go to PSA a lot of the time, but I wouldn't recommend it with an NT RPA unless you're looking for something to hang on your wall.

really? for some reason I thought you still had an option with BGS. When did they change that? I've actually never graded a card so this would be my first rodeo.

It is true, you MUST get the auto graded with BGS. Otherwise you'd never seen any '8' and '9' auto's again. And I agree with you, the NT cards are so streaky especially RG3. It'll be tough to see many 9.5/10 autos on these.
