Why is he blaming the agent? He can't force anyone to draft him.

Would be classic if the agents decided that none of them would represent this arse clown. Really sad and classless act. Has an excellent chance of not ending well for Mr. Entitlement.

Looks like he'll fit in fine where he's going, like he belonged there all along.

His agents should have kept him far away from NYC instead of letting him sit there and get mad and look like a moron. Thats a decent reason to fire them. They should also be putting people around him to control his tweets and other media response.

And lets not forget, if you thought you were gonna cash in, "experts" put you at the top of their lists and you can literally watch yourself lose money in the tens of millions, you'd be pretty upset too. His agents should have been controlling that response and they didnt.

This may have been the smartest thing he has done yet.

You guys act like he's the first player to ever fire an agent. It happens all the time.

Geno agents are/were terrible and the draft is only part of the reason he fired them he has lost a TON of money here in WV due to his agents being lazy his agents have cancelled 5 seperate signings for no reason at all. So im sure their is alot of things "WE" as blowout experts dont know.

Agreed.....His agents were pretty bad. Firing agents happens often but since he is now a Jet he is going to get a lot of negativity and hype in the media about it when there shouldn't be. I would have done the same if I were in his shoes. I do agree that the Jets are a circus (I am a Jet fan and I am fully aware of the laughing stock this team is) but dont have an issue with what he did.

Geno can't say to his "lazy" agents "hey, I don't want to lose a TON of money, I'm going to the signings whether you like it or not?" Sounds like if this was going on as you say, Smith should have fired them a long time before the draft. I'm not buying the agent causing the slip out of the first round. Seems the word would spread pretty fast among athletes if an agent was stinking the place up. The better the agent does for his client the better he does for himself. Doesn't add up?? Won't be an agent for very long if it's true.

He was sitting there like Cam Newton after a loss. Like a little baby that didn't get their way!

The smartest thing he's ever done is figure out how to tie his shoes.

Honestly, I'd fire him as well....all this stuff gets worked out in the weeks leading up to the draft, I'm guessing the agent over valued his position and blew it.

Agents are important and if you don't have a good one, you cost yourself money...sounds like a business decision to me.

Smith is an easy target though.

I'd fire my agent too, if I wound up playing for the Jets.

Geno should be seeking revenge on the Chiefs for punking him into thinking he was the #1 overall pick.

It does... but not because you weren't picked at a certain position in the draft.
