Ed had a better career but Troy will leave a better legacy.

For as often has he is on the field, Polamalu is a beast. I don't think anyone can question that. If we are taking health into this, I'm taking Adrian Wilson because I know he will be on the field.

Reed - 61 INT's, 11 FF, 9 TD's, 6 Sacks
Polamalu - 30 INT's, 8 FF, 4 TD's, 10 Sacks
Wilson - 27 INT's, 14 FF, 4 TD's, 25.5 Sacks
Wilson is an animal. Love that guy's tenacity. Gotta go with Reed but that certainly isn't because Polamalu is a slouch. Reed has the most INT return yards all time, top ten in picks, top ten in return TDs. Career tackles are almost identical. I realize the numbers don't tell the full story of a player's greatness, but Reed is far and away more impressive from that standpoint. Arguments about their intangibles would be like splitting hairs. Give me Reed over Troy.

If you people think Troy is better than Ed Reed, you're crazy. Edward is the GOAT!

You really can't lose with either guy. Both Reed and Polamalu have been often injured in the last few years. The difference is that Reed has been able to play through the injuries more than Polamalu. You must understand that although these guys both play safety, free safety and strong safety are just different. Reed is no doubt the best ballhawk at the safety position ever, plus he can take an interception or missed field goal attempt all the way back for a touchdown. Polamalu is as physical and smart as any guy to ever play the position, yet he can make a play on the ball. It is a close call, but give me the more physical guy; give me Polamalu. The sad part is that with the new rules, I don't think there will be any room for a new Troy Polamalu in the near-future.

Whatever I say will be considered a biased opinion. Therefore, I will just say that they are both Hall of Famers. There is no question about that.

I have no bias - I'm a Browns fan so I hate both players equally.

There is no comparison. Ed Reed is better then Troy Polamalu. I don't need stats to tell me that. Doesn't mean Troy isn't a HOF level player.

There are these comparisons in all sports. Patrick Ewing was a HOF center - Hakeem Olajuwon was better. Doesn't take away from the other player.
