Default Should the word "sparkle" ever be used in this hobby?

Tom Brady 2013 Topps Archives Gold Sparkle Insert Patriots | eBay

This is just ridiculous and makes me cringe. I do my best to retain some of my machismo as I collect and while I may have succumbed to "chasing rainbows" - seeing "gold sparkle" parallels is just too much for me.

This is all I can think of when I see these cards:

Yeah, I am on your team. I cant stand seeing listings calling these cards gold sparkle parallels. I have mainly seen them on the Hot rookies inserts from this years score. Makes me not want to buy them...... almost

So what you're saying is that 2020's chase card will be an Andrew Luck game-used tutu?

Ever since Edward Cullen first showed his body to Bella Swan the word sparkle seems to be everywhere now-a-days.

Someone else sees it too! The first time I saw Osweiler I thought of Pattinson.

Yes, Mojo is something Austin Powers has, not people who open boxes of cards.

Less concerned with Robin Sparkles than I am with absolute donkey turds like this eye sore.

Should the word "sparkle" ever be used in this hobby?-adfgadfg.jpg

At least it isn't a drug-use related term... (hit I.e. "4 hits per box" the phrase, "That's a good hit bro") or a term related to witchcraft (mojo). Sparkle will stick for now... I just hope they come up with something more clever (jewel themed parallels are ok but I think we're all a little tired of them). Leather hits are cool, "cracked ice" is cool, sparkle is meh.

A "hit" could also be a hit movie or hit song. I wouldn't consider it's primary definition as drug-related simply because it's associated with one barely illegal plant.

I don't think most would associate "mojo" with "witchcraft" either...No offense meant.
