He's 31 and had a pretty decent season last year. What am I missing???

imo any unsigned quality vets at this point the reason is it comes down to his asking price. That is normally the issue. Teams will wait to see what injuries occur, rookies do not work out(vice versa) and it will go from there. He can either lose or gain value respectively

edit wait and see what happens during camp is what I mean

My guess would be attitude issues. I say this with no evidence to back it up, but that's the only reason why I can think of that someone with over 900 yards the past 3 seasons has also played for 3 different teams over that same span.

He'll get signed. Happens all the time. Teams want to see what they've got in UDFA rookies and later round picks before committing any money to a veteran. Hell this is an example of why there was a potential lockout - the veterans wanted better opportunites to keep their jobs against cheap young guys - but teams can just work around it.

He'll be on a team at some point.

He's apparently a horrible guy to have in the locker room. I've heard that he thinks he's better than everyone else.

This is the rumor thrown out by the writers on ESPN Boston blog. They say he wasn't a "locker room" fit.

He is an odd guy. Less attitude than just being a bit off.

There's a reason he's played for so many teams and not stuck. Niners, Redskins, Bears, Broncos, Rams, and Patriots. Remember him throwing hissy fits when he had to play with Tebow in 2011.

he also can't take a hit and would just fall after catching the ball. I think he was last or close to last in YAC. all saying that, if I were the pats I'd be talking to him and his agent
