Doug Martin. Seattle has too many weapons now with Russell and Harvin, so you can expect them to utilize them more and Marshawn less. Seattle also drafted a RB in the second round this year, and they didn't do that so he can sit on the bench.

Personally, I'd go with Doug. However, if I was feeling really tricky, I'd go with Spiller

They call him "beastmode" for a reason. Lynch all the way. Im partial because he's my favorite player. But he's worth a top 5 pick.

Tough one no doubt. I would go with Martin only because Seattle just got Harvin. Seattle has too many offensive weapons. Martin only has Vincent Jackson, and without a decent QB they'll be running the ball.

Lynch or Martin would be a good pick either way. Let us know who you take!

Oh, rest assured, it is Dougie. I could come up with some stats like yards after contact, targets, etc...But I will just say, its Dougie by a country mile!!

In that case, wouldn't defenses just focus on the run?

Flip a coin, honestly. You'll be very happy with either. There is more risk/reward with Doug though, only 1 year of production.
I would take Lynch, but that's just me. Most people aren't as conservative when it comes to fantasy football as I am, but it works for me.

Why do all these people play fantasy football but don't know who to draft? I hope they aren't in a money league

Doug and it isn't close. I would draft him at the #2 spot this year.

OP, I'm not sure if your league allows you to trade picks. However, I think that the difference in points at the end of this season between Martin and Lynch won't be anything too drastic. So, perhaps you can offer the member with the fifth overall pick a trade? I'd personally rather have the 5th overall pick and a 4th/5th round pick than the 4th overall pick.

Stick with Lynch. You can't expect Martin to have the same kind of year he had last year. Now that his name is out there, teams are gonna have their eyes on him. Especially since he's practically the ONLY weapon on Tampa Bay.

AP. I don't like Foster, and never really have. Doug is going to put up HUGE numbers this year, esepcially in PPR leagues.

Please. Vincent Jackson is a top 10 WR in Fantasy Football, and Williams is in the top 30. They have decent weapons, and the offense should be fine if Freeman bounces back. I see a lot more running for them since their defense got a lot better.

A lot of people think Foster is going to have a slow year because of his YPC last year. I had him in my fantasy league, and even though I was always happy because I could rely on him to put up 15+ PPG, I noticed that he never really "broke off" for a huge run like some of these guys (Martin/AP/McCoy/Charles) do.

I agree, I feel like people hear Tampa Bay and just assume they had a bad offense. They were 9th in total offense and averaged more than 24 points per game. Also while Freeman was inconsistent, he did have over 4,000 yards and 27 TDs so for fantasy purposes he wasn't that bad.

Also to help Martins case, he played the whole season without Davin Joseph who was a Pro Bowler the year before and the last 9 games without Nicks, arguably the games best Guard. Their offensive line could be among the leagues elite.

The only thing that worries me about Martin is the amount of touches he gets and if the wear and tear will get to him. He touched the ball 368 times last year which is a ton for a rookie. It also might be worth noting that they just signed Peyton Hillis. If he happens to make the team he could steal some goal line carries away.

You couldn't be more wrong, in a nice way. Pete Carroll is and will always be a run first coach, especially with a RB like Marshawn. Christine Michael will probably be third string behind Robert Turbin as well, so..

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice, but I'd be picking Marshawn, obviously.
