Talking What are the most valuable rookies to pull in 2013?

Hey y'all, just broke a box of elite yesterday and I pulled a Tavon Austin new breed auto/jersey /99. I thought it was a great pull and got me wondering which rookies this year are most valuable as cards or may be by the end of the year. I'll rank what I think would be the top 5 but feel free to rank the top 10, 20 or more if you want. This is my first real post so feel free to tell me if I'm doing something wrong, I know etiquette is important here, Thanks!

1. Geno Smith
2. E.J. Manuel
3. Manti T'eo
4. Tavon Austin
5. Eddie Lacy

Nice post. Your list is dead on. Some of these players sell very similarly.

Manti Teo is not in the top 5 for a couple of reasons.

1. He's a linebacker. Defensive players don't sell nearly as well as O.
2. He was horrible in the national championship game and fell in draft.
3. The whole fake girlfriend thing hurt his image big time.
4. There will be a bunch of backup QB's from this draft that will sell for more. First off the top of my head is the Giants QB Nassib.

1. Terrance Williams
2. Montee Ball
3. EJ Manuel
4. Denard Robinson
5. Joseph Randle

Cowboys always have 3x premium because they are the Cowboys, or Randle wouldn't be in there. Terrance Williams will end up the most collected rookie and most valuable for the same reason. Denard Robinson should be good in his new position and will get love. Montee should be starting at Denver and all the bandwagon jumpers will love him, so he's number two. EJ Manuel will get some love, but I think Geno Smith drops off collectors radar fast when the season starts.

I hear you with the Manti T'eo thing as defensive players rarely come close to skill players, but with all of his drama and maybe a boost from his heritage niche I think he's there right now from taking a quick look at ebay prices. That being said, he's the only one from the list I would sell right away as his value should go down as this year rolls on.

Being Kendall Hunter averages about $3 an auto and Marcus Lattimore likely will be rehabilitating until the 2014 season, I think he is going to be one of the lowest.

I think that list is pretty accurate... Anyone think johnathan Franklin could punch through the top 10-15 this year?

For sure. I don't necessarily agree with his current prices given that he's a third string QB, but I'm just saying that his autos are going for pretty much the same as EJ autos mainly because he's a USC boy

Hoping you guys are right so I can pick up some Manti cards for cheap!

Agree with Geno Smith being on many of your lists.

Going with basic (no reds, oranges, blues, supers, etc) Bowman refractor autos that have actually sold on Ebay, here's the list:

1. Geno Smith - $81.50 (Geno has the top 5 sold autos)
2. EJ Manual - $74.99
3. Eddie Lacy - $61.00
4. Matt Barkley - $46.00
5. Montee Ball - $45.00
6. Tavon Austin - $41.00
7. Marcus Lattimore - $35.20 (Lattimore had some higher ones, but they were either graded or were an "accepted best offer" so I didn't look them up)
8. Cordarrelle Patterson - $31.00
9. Denard Robinson - $29.99
10. Le'Veon Bell - $29.00

Not exactly scientific, but wayyy more accurate than just guessing and if you scroll through the sold cards you'll see that it pretty much follows this pattern.
