Default Michigan - Notre Dame thread

We are about 19.5 hours away from kickoff for the last Michigan - Notre Dame game that will be played in the Big House for a long time. The series is over indefinitely after next year, as ND is switching to a more ACC focused schedule. Should be a great game. Who do you have? As always, I say Go Blue! To Hell with Notre Dame!

Shame the shine on this rivalry is largely gone. Always a fun game when both teams are good.

It was made by a user on FCB. His name was Jbel something. He did a lot of good custom A&G avatars.

Go Blue. I see Brian Kelly backtracked on his comments that Michigan isn't a rival.

The Irish are going to run away with this game. I had doubts with Tommy Rees but he had a fire in his eyes I've never seen in him last week. I thought this may be one of the two games my Irish could lose this year but now I don't think there is any chance.

Cheer cheer for ole Notre Dame!!!!

Oh, but I am going to miss this game. This is one of the best games in college football and I can't imagine a year without it. Next USC is going to go bye bye...

So sad to see this game go away. No matter how bad the teams are I always love watching this game.

This isn't going to be close. Notre Dame's offense isn't all that good.

ND's offense is just fine. Can't wait. Go Irish!

Devin Gardner hasn't proven to be that great, but Michigan has a very good defense, and it's a home night game. Home team generally doesn't seem to lose the home night game.

Brady Hoke has never lost at home. I hope I didn't just jinx them. Regardless of talent on either side, it should be a close game. I should have gotten tickets and made the drive. I'm going to try to go next year in South Bend since its the last game for a while.

Props to Junior Griffey for keeping it civil and friendly. It's just a game after all. Usually these threads devolve quickly but Griff set a good tone in the OP. Props.

Full disclosure: I am a die hard ND fan. I like our chances if we play a clean game. But the last time we went up to Ann Arbor, some sort of voodoo magic was worked and it was one of the most epic collapses in history. If this game was being played at a neutral site or in the Bend, I'd take ND all day. But add in the crowd noise, the fact that it's a night game, and the psychological impact of the collapse in '11 and I just can't shake the feeling that Michigan is going to squeak out a W. Hope I'm wrong.

I always try to be civil...I enjoy good football, and good football conversation. Thanks for noticing!

This thread should stay fine as long as somebody doesn't do what they usually do....
