Default PPR League Flex Spot

Who would you guys go with? Both were duds last week and am having a hard time deciding. Both will start if Gronk can't go but I'm thinking he will be back this week.

Martellus Bennett (@ Lions) or T.Y. Hilton (@ Jags)?

I think Hilton has a bigger upside against the Jags. I'd go Hillton.

I also believe this as well.

Hilton all the way, he has a lot more upside this week.

It's not as simple as everyone seems to think with Hilton, you don't ALWAYS go with the guy who has more upside

The real question is how bad do you need the points from this position?

If you really like your other matchups this week and just need someone from this position to put up some halfway solid numbers, then I think Bennett is the easy decision. Hilton is no guarantee to get touches as that offense spreads the ball around a bit and they could be doing a lot of running in the second half. Whereas Bennett is just about guaranteed to get you 3-5 catches for 50 yards IMO, so if you just need some safe solid points from that roster spot, I'd go with him.

But if you think you're going to need to score a lot of points this weekend, you go with the upside in Hilton

Thanks everyone for your input so far, but the position I'm in is just needing some solid production. I obviously love the Hilton match up, but as Zona said they could be running ALOT in the second half.

Here is where I stand, I am leaning toward TY as of now, but the fact that he's had 2 stinkers so far this season def worries me

QB - Luck
RB - Martin
RB - Fred Jackson
WR - Dez
WR - Pierre Garcon
TE - Gronk
FLEX - Welker
FLEX - Hilton (for now)
DEF - Colts
K - Gould

David Wilson, Ben Tate, Marty B, Rivers, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Scott Chandler on the bench

I'd definitely go with Hilton. I'm a Chicago fan and from what I've been reading from Trestman and other coaches, they are going to primarily use Bennet as a blocking TE first and then a red zone, intermediate threat second so he might get some redzone looks but that's going to be it for the most part.

Fair enough argument, but realisticaly you are only talking 1-2 points difference in a worst case scenario.

I'd still start T.Y.........then again I'm 1 and 2 in my league so take it for what it's worth.
