I personally think Schaub should start if he is healthy, but I am not a coach, I only play one on the forum...
I agree the Kubiak only uses about 1 line of that novel of a play sheet. However, I would like to know why in hell you think Schaub should be the starter. He has thrown twice as many INT as TD since week 10 of last season. He has absolutely no confidence. What little arm strength he had is gone. He has about as much mobility as the bull statues in front of Reliant Stadium.

On the other hand you have Keenum. He has great mobility and can even run the ball when necessary. He has a cannon for an arm and is very accurate. He threw for 273yds and 1TD with 0INT against a stout KC defense. Add to that he was splitting practice reps with Yates the week leading up to the game. He will have had almost 2 full weeks of 1st team reps to prepare for Indy.

Also, at the very least, Houston needs to see what they have in Keenum. We have seen what Schaub is and it isn't good. They need to know if they are taking a QB in the 1st round or 4th round in the next draft. If Keenum plays well and shows he can LEAD this team then they need to draft his backup. If he plays bad or mediocre then they will be drafting Schaub's replacement.

I agree he is having a disappointing season, but I think he still has it in him to win (see the first 2 games this year). I am pointing this season directly at Kubiak. If the defense basically knows what's coming, your QB is screwed no matter who it is. Just like when Yates took over a couple of years ago, it will take a few games of film for D-coordinators to see how to better defend Keenum.

Not saying Keenum should not be in the mix, I just think it is crap to not get a shot coming back from injury. If Schaub continued to look lost, yank him and put in Keenum.

I agree that Kubiak is almost equally responsible for the way this season has gone. I, and MANY, Texans fans have been furious and dumbfounded by Kubiaks play calling for years. That is why I'm torn about how I want the rest of the season to go. On one hand I want them to turn it around and maybe make the playoffs. But that would mean Kubiak keeps his job and we have to keep dealing with his conservative, vanilla, predictable coaching. On the other hand I want them to finish just under .500 and see Kubiak walk.

As for the first 2 games, I like the way Schaub played in the fourth quarters. However, if not for his early turnovers they would not have been in a situation where they had to make a huge comeback. I have been a big supporter of Schaub since he was signed and in the past he has been deserving of my support. Unfortunately he isn't that QB anymore. It is in his head now and he doesn't have a coach that can get him out of the funk. The fact that he has an interception in every game he has played is just unacceptable.

Watched the Texans Chiefs game and really liked what I saw with CK. He moves around the pocket creating space to make plays and while the things I read about him at the combine having limited arm strength and accuracy seem to be cleared up. He should have had more then one score in that game, missed a 1 yard rushing TD by inches and the second throw to Hopkins should have been a TD. He gets a rested Colts defense at home which is not an easy task. Should he win that game he will have beaten the Colts which is something that Russell Wilson, Colin Kapernick, and Peyton Manning couldn't do so not the easiest task but if he wins it would be huge and cement him as the Texans starter. I wish the news if Foster was playing this game was known. CK did better with a running game against the Chiefs then when Tate went down and they had to rely completely on him. If CK has that going I think he has a good chance for an upset after two weeks of preparation. The Texans season is on the line this weekend and I think they pull the upset

I agree if we do not have foster in for the game I think chances of winning fall drastically. This is a very big game for texans fans. Glad I get to go

I agree the RB situation will play a huge part in this game. Indy has one of the worst run D's in the league so Houston should have success on the ground no matter who is starting. Tate is listed as probable and Foster is a game time decision. If Deji has to step in for Foster they will have a much tougher day on the ground.

Keenum being named the starter has changed the mentality of the whole team. Even though they are paid professionals, Schaub's poor decisions were affecting the whole team. The team could see that Matt wasn't confident.

Three pass plays to start sure was unexpected. Nice toss!

Ben Tate is clearly hurt. Did a baseball/quarterback slide that cost the team a first down!
