You know how they say hind sight is 20/20 well if later in the year these teams start losing more and more games this wins should lose some of their importance to. Or else maybe the BCS should only consist of SEC teams that beat each other up and have multiple losses but somehow their better then the rest of the country.
I never said it was a great win, save your words and argument.

I think Mizzou is grossly overvalued at 5, I wouldn't put it past them to lose to South Carolina, Texas A&M and another SEC East team in an upset.

I feel like Alabama, FSU and Oregon are leaps and bounds ahead of anyone else. If FSU wins out they deserve to be playing for the title. Great QB and that D. Mizzou is overrated with their freshman QB.

Agreed, their Defense is on par with Bama's from a season ago. Although Bama's is now rounding into form.

It will probably happen. With Franklin, they are a great team and borderline top 5 . Without him, top 25 at best.

In an unrelated story, Notre Dame is going to go the entire life of the BCS system without getting a BCS Bowl win.

FSU has turned off the offense midway through the third quarter in every game but the BC game this season. The final 20 minutes last night was quiet hand-offs. FSU would average Baylor offensive numbers had they kept going at full power. Had FSU continued to pass last night the score could have easily exceeded 70pts. FSU would have scored 100 on Bethune had they played all out.

Coker, the backup QB has finished all games except Clemson and BC. FSU's toughest game this season will be at UF. No matter the record, that game is and always will be a battle.

Your statement is false.

I said it like a statement when in actuality I was trying to pose it more as a question. Not trying to argue, just healthy discussion the basis of why forums were created I would think. Mostly what I was trying to get across is if Clemson now loses more games does it not diminish the win to a certain degree later.

vs Tenn
vs Oregon St.

Miami looks like a possible top 5 match up on the horizon for FSU...ohio state nor oregon can say the same

UCLA and Stanford are decent, not great teams. And tenn is not a quality win IMO

It usually boils down to matchups and having your opponents holding up their end of the bargain by winning against everyone else who doesn't happen to be you. Earlier this year then many of the past years I can remember too many different SEC teams are swapping Wins and Losses.

FSU and Oregon will continue to swap spots over time since they are so close in the computer.....going to be interesting since the remainder of the year has major key games each week

if ohio states d is awful, than what is michigans? If a team from the big ten makes it the national championship than it will be a joke and probably be a worst score than alabama/notre dame game.

Your statement is false.
Mariota has played a total of 17 plays in the 4th quarter ALL YEAR LONG
Oregon has thrown in 23 times in the 4th quarter. This in 7 games.

Winston has played in 31 plays and Florida St has thrown it 26 times. This in 6 games.

Compared to Oregon, Florida St has not turned off the offense.

Hell look at Mariotas pass attempts by quarter: (197 total, 7 games)

1st: 72
2nd: 70
3rd: 46
4th: 9

79 pass attempts while up by 15+ pts

Winstons pass attempts by quarter: (157 total, 6 games)

1st: 40
2nd: 61
3rd: 45
4th: 11

Mariota has run it 38 times in the 1st half of games, and 11 times in the 2nd half. (7 games)

Winston has run it 27 times in the 1st half of games, and 16 times in the 2nd half. (6 games)

If Florida State didn't take the foot off the throttle they would be Baylor offensively? WTF would Oregon be? A rich mans Baylor.

Miami is a possible top 5 team while UCLA and Stanford are just decent? Take your head out of your East Coast bias ass.

I love Miami with Duke Johnson but they have played 1 decent team in Florida, and barely got by at home.

Meanwhile Stanford has already beat ASU, Washington, and UCLA. All 3 comparable to Florida if not better.

UCLA still has question marks but they do have a nice win @ Nebraska.

The season will play out, and it will all sort itself out. Still, if the season ended today, Oregon would deserve the spot. This is a team that is like 19-1 with Mariota as QB, with the lone loss being against what was the #7 team in the country last year.

I admit that the Ohio State's defense is not as good as years past. Implying that Michigan fans are licking their chops to be able to have a shot at tOSU's D on Nov 30th is funny to me. I don't know if you have watched both teams, but I can tell you that Michigan is in no way close to tOSU in game play. It is a night and day difference on the field.

statman - you referred to the team performance. You need to look at team stats, not player stats.

FSU didn't score in the 4th against Bethune. FSU handed the ball off almost exclusively last night in the 4th.

FSU has definitely turned the engine off. I stand behind my comment, that your comment about FSU piling on points is flawed. I can't comment on Oregon because I do not watch their games, but I can say with certainty, FSU hasn't piled on the points.
