Default Do you have your Paypal hooked up to your credit card or bank account?

Just curious.

Seems like transactions take longer when it is my bank account, I have a payment pending from Under Armour still from the 10th...

Which do you think you have more coverage on?

Bank account and debit card. I don't use credit cards, but the debit card acts as one which allows instant transfers and not e-checks.

Bank account/debit as well. My debit can be used as credit too so its either/or lol.. Never had that problem. E-checks is the only thing I've ever had that problem with and it was a fluke thing that made me do it.

People who say "I don't use credit cards" Why? They are safer and you get your money back faster than if it's a debit card plus they offer far better rewards. Just curious

Because I was irresponsible with credit cards back in the day. When my wife and I got married, we had a total of $30k in credit card debt. The first 2 years of marriage was spent paying that crap off.

I remember where I came from, so I just avoid it. I don't do credit cards or car payments. I stick with a cash only type thing except my mortgage.

I do have a credit card, but it doesn't get used.

Same with me, it's too easy to get a load of debt with credit cards. I have a couple but don't use them. Lucky you, i have two car payments and a mortgage but everything else, i like to pay in full if possible.

I believe debit cards have the same protections offered as credit cards. The difference is using money you already have vs. borrowing money and paying to do so. Google "Dave Ramsey" and you will find an explanation far better than I will attempt.

Or being paid?

I pay my CC's in full every month - why not get my free $20 from the CC company for the $1K in Paypal card purchases I might make in a month?

I realize that Dave Ramsey caters towards folks that have debt and are trying to get out - but it's not nearly as simple as "using money you have vs. money you borrow" unless you assume everyone is coming from a place of debt or prior debt.

I put every single expense I have other than my mortgage on my CC - and I'd put my mortgage on my CC if I was allowed.

I used to work for Key Bank, and trust me Debit cards do not have the same protection, especially if someone gets ahold of your PIN number. If you call a credit card company for a fraud charge they will reverse it immediately, a Debit card the funds will stay out of your checking account until the dispute is resolved. Granted not all banks may be the same.

My credit cards are paid in full every month and it's auto withdrawn from my bank account so to me it's the same as using my debit card anyway. I don't keep any balance on my credit cards
