Eh, I see that a lot and IDK how true it is. The Packers use the nickel defense as their base most of the time and there is no such thing as a 0-technique in a nickel.

Resign Jolly to a high incentive contract

Yes.

Sign Chris Clemons(Would love Byrd but the $ amount is just to much)

I wouldn't hate it, but I'm kind of leaning towards the idea of drafting Calvin Pryor or HaHa Clinton Dix

Sign Randy Starks(Or substitute a quality 3-4 DE FA for cheap)

I'm not sure how cheap he will be after playing under the franchise tag last season

Draft Mosely at 21

I would be shocked if he fell to 21, but happy

Draft Buchannon, Ward, etc.(The best quality safety available to groom behind Clemons)

IDK them.

Draft Jordan Matthews to replace James Jones/Draft CJ Fredowitz(Sp?) or best Tight End to replace Finley

IDK them either, lol
my thoughs italicized above.

MD Jennings signed a one year deal with the Bears.

Owen Daniels in Green Bay for a visit.

Owens Daniels would be a nice surprise. Chris Clemons would be nice, and honestly after seeing the deal that Byrd got I am STOKED that we didn't sign him. He wanted WAYYYYY too much time and money. Dude thinks he is Ronnie Lott or LeRoy Butler 2.0

Golden Tate to the NFC North makes me suddenly care a lot more about beating the Lions. Almost on the Packers/Bears rivalry level. I'll never forgive, never forget. The way things are going, the Broncos will probably sign EDS, Starks, James Jones and Raji. Ha

EDIT: Packers resigned Mike Neal
- 2 year deal.

Agreed. I HAAAAAATE the Seahawks and their "fanbase" because of how cocky they were about that damn play. The one play ended up being the difference between a 1st round bye and not. I will never, ever forget that.

Sorta happy about the Mike Neal deal (spittin' flows over here fo sho!). He looked decent and was versatile.

Still crossin' my fingers for Allen and Clemons.

The Safety version... by a wide margin.

Could get both just to confuse the hell out of everyone... that would be fun.

According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle (and formerly Die Hard fame lol!) Garrett Graham is set to re-sign with the Texans. He claims it is a 3-year deal.

Fudge.

Clemons and Allen still available!

meh, not too interested in Graham. If you made me choose a former Texans TE, I'd rather have Owen Daniels, assuming he's healthy.

I don't know, man. Owen Daniels is REAL risk. I would hate to see what happened to Finley happen to Daniels. Not necessarily the neck injury, but a career ending / threatening type of injury.

Speaking of Finley... if the Packers get him back and let him play is that a slap in the face to Nick Collins? I follow Nick on Twitter and he is ACHING to come back and play, especially for the Packers. I think our team needs a guy like Collins more than Finley. Especially since Quarless looked real good last season when we needed him.

Packers have announced they've resigned Andrew Quarless! I'm pretty happy about that. I also read that Finley just left Seattle with mutual interest in signing...as long as his neck gets cleared.

SWEET! Very happy! No terms of the contract were disclosed, hopefully it wasn't too rich. Quarless is quality, but I think he has a little more to prove before a big contract.

Sadly, so far ALL of the money we have spent on F/A has used to retain players. Not saying that is a bad thing, because Sheilds was a MUST and Quarless was a need. Neal was in between a need and a want for us. He was decent, and I think next season he will be better but he isn't the answer.

Yeah I'm a little disappointed with the lack of offseason moves so far. I hope he extends Cobb and Nelson soon and we draft a TE and Safety in the first two rounds.

Fuuuuuuuuuudge. The Jaguars sign Chris Clemons (S - Seattle ) to a four year deal AND they have interest in Jared Allen. We are waiting too long.

you got your chris clemons's mixed up, lol. the one we want is the DB from Miami

Also, I can't see Jacksonville ponying up for Jared Allen when they signed Clemon AND just re-signed Jason Babin.

Vince Wilfork is asking for release from the Pats. Something tells me they will be trying to make a deal for Raji. Mike Daniels can take is right place at starting D-line.

Im a little surprised to see that Chris Clemons(S-MIA) is still available with the lack of quality safeties that are available right now in FA.

I like the Quarless Re-Signing he was beginning to develop into a quality TE at the end of last season and should be even better with Rodgers this coming season. I remember a lot if plays last year where Quarless was wide open down the seam and Flynn just didn't have the awareness and/or ability to get it to him. It should be a relatively team friendly deal (2 yrs-4-5 million) so that's an added bonus.

I would love to bring in Wilfork, but the whole reason he was released was because he didn't want to reconstructure his deal and I dont think the Packers will give him what he was making with the Pats, especially after the injury.

Also I think its only a matter of time before the Packers re-sign Raji. The longer he is available the more likely he will be back with the Pack. The market just isnt there for him right now.

People that are surprised with the lack of FA moves, I would have to ask them how long have they been Packers fan? This is what the Packers do, if you go out and pay FA's that most likely means that Cobb, Nelson, Bulaga would be gone next year. This is what the Packers do they draft and develop. Shields was basically our big FA this year.

I think that the surprise came after the "sources" said the Packers were going to make a push for a bigger FA period.

Then again, maybe they did and didn't get anyone... or it was just smoke.

Either way, this has been a typical offseason. I would still like them to fill the hole at Safety before the draft. I would hate to have to trust the big guys falling enough to snag them and even so, safety development will take more than one year (especially with how complicated Dom's system is).
