Default Thoughts on getting a signed card signed again??

Hey BO, wanted a few thoughts on this.

Robert Turbin is in town next weekend, and I'm planning on bringing a few things to get signed. I recently picked up this bad boy 1/1 booklet. There's some room for him to maybe inscribe his nickname, or put 12th man, SB Champs, etc etc. Do you think it would be cool or would it depreciate the value of the card by adding onto it? Or possibly raise the value??

I'm still debating what to do, any input is helpful, thanks!

I'm also bringing his champ ticket with me, just to show off to the Turbin fans lol

It will depreciate, no doubt. If you plan on never moving it, I guess it would be cool

Appreciate the input. I mean, I'd try and have em use the same color pen, etc so it wouldn't look tacky. Eh i dunno.

I would suggest not to. Even if its for your PC if you EVER needed to sell it (things unexpectedly come up) you would not be able to get near the same coin for it. People like the card how it was made.

If this were mine I would have him add an inscription in a heartbeat because I could give 2 craps about value for items I COLLECT.

Also to me a pic of him with it after the inscription would make it priceless to me as a fan

I agree with everyone else. Don't get it signed again. It will be impossible to move. An inscription sounds pretty damn awesome though.

If you plan on keeping it, go for it. I love different inscriptions on things, and I think it would make it unique. However, if you think you might try to move it down the road, I wouldn't do it. Even if you have him use the same color Sharpie, it may look off. Sharpies tend to change performance depending on how often and hard it was used. So there's no way of telling how the Sharpie was when he originally signed it, compared with the one he'll use at the signing. So there's a virtual certainty that it'll look just a touch off, which would make it tough to move, IMO.

Thanks for more input everyone. While it is definitely PC, to say you'll never ever sell anything is hard to do lol. Stuff comes up ya know. I've also thought about getting a lower end booklet for him to inscribe so I don't "ruin" the 1/1 like some might think I'd be doing. I have till the 23rd to decide haha.

I say do it. If it for your pc it would be pretty cool. If you ever have to move it, if someone else does not like it, they can always wait for another one to come along

If there's one thing I've learned as a collector: If it's for your PC, screw value 100%. Bottom line is if it's truly your "PC" then you're going to lose money on it anyways, so you may as well enjoy the cards. Also, considering that Lynch and Michael are probably going to leave Turbin in the doghouse completely next year, Turbin's value will go down significantly anyways after the new rookie class comes in. So do whatever you want, but all I'm saying is that if it was Michael Vick, I'm not leaving without that inscription

I would rather get a nice clean auto on some base cards maybe with inscriptions, can't screw up those. To each their own

if it is a pc item and you never plan on getting rid of it then I would have him sign something cool, try and get a pic of him doing it. IF you are not for sure wether you are keeping then I would not have him sign it.

Just what ever you do make sure he signs it better than he did the first time around.

Do it! Inscribing something IMO would RAISE the value.

Personally if it were say a gronk 1/1 booklet i wouldnt get it inscribed. If it was a card that i could have another regular copy of then i would consider it but not on a 1/1 i never would do it.
