Default My almost pre-season 2014-15 NFL predictions

Alright, its that time again, I did these last year and it went rather poorly, so why not do it again

AFC

E:
Patriots
Bills
Jets
Fins

The East winner is the easiest choice for me because its 3 mediocre teams and one Really good team.

W:
Broncos Z
Chargers *
Chiefs
Raiders

The Broncos still win the divsion, But the Chargers givem hell until the very end. Chiefs continue the decline we saw late last year, finish 9-7.

S:
Texans
Colts *
Titans
Jags

JJ Watt. Jadeveon Clowney. This year that defense proves that a great defense can overcome a mediocre offense. Colts finish 2nd but grab a wild card spot

N:
Steelers
Bengals
Ravens
Browns

Big Ben overcomes some more injuries to his team to put the steel curtain back on top.

E:
Eagles
Boys
Giants
Skins

Foles regresses, but lucky for him , the rest of the divison sucks. They win it rather easily

W:
Seahawks Z
49ers *
Rams
Cardinals

Two Elite teams. Giving the edge to the regining champs but the niners make it easily too.

S:
Saints
Panthers
Bucs
Atlanta

Saints Go back on top. Where they will stay for many years.

N:
PAckers
Bears*
Lions
Vikings

Packers and Bears go for it until the end, the Packers come through in the end. Bears still get in.

NFC Championship:
Packers Seahawks

AFC Championship:
Broncos Patriots

Super Bowl:
Packers Broncos

Champs:
Broncos

Feel free to criticize mine, or share your own.

Dolphins finish second.

Jarvis Landry will be big for us, and Brian Hartline is a sleeper.
Cam Wake will also have a breakout year.
So in a word to describe the Dolphins 2014 season, it will be....

Breakout.

Go Dolphins.

there are a lot of problem with the Fins. Jets were looking up towards end of last year and Bills seem to be LOADED with talent. no way Fins get second

I'm hoping the Steelers can be healthy for once. If stuff go our way on a few fronts, we can be legitimate contenders again.

I almost agree with your format....
Except NFC West: AZ will have a better record than Rams & 49ers

NFC East: Dallas will crumble...their schedule is insane...& with Romo babysitting that back injury...Jason Garrett and his lack of "stay with what works" mentality...they will be lucky to win 5 games. Possibly Jags & Titans...?.... Other than that....it really saddens me to be a fan of such a circus act ownership & coaching charade! It's almost like they want to suck! And that schedule gets them to a pitiful demise even faster!

No surprises here except the Texans. I actually think people are underestimating Foster coming back with that stacked front 7 on defense. Schaub was a pro bowler because everyone was focusing on the run game. If any of their current qbs can play at a top 20 qb level I believe they will make the play offs. Though it is a loooong shot that they beat the colts for the division. They have one of the easiest schedules in the nfl...and Luck has several 'new' weapons.

I just cant see how any offense is going to be able to stop that defensive front. You cant double team both of them.

The saints may win the south, but they aren't staying there for a while like you predict.

No team has ever won the South in consecutive years, it's a really strange thing

I'll agree with your predictions except I'd have the Hawks taking it all again. Defense is just too good and with a healthy Percy Harvin the sky is the limit.

I could absolutely see it happening.

I would love to see Harvin play a full season....even if it was a bad one. Safe to say that guy has probably zero enemies..like Fitzgerald.

Yea, really odd

And until the last few years when previous 2nd and 3rd place teams won it the next year, something like 8 of the first 10 years of the new NFC South, the team that finished in last place the year before won it the next year.

That hasn't happened much in recent years, but still no repeat champ since they re-did the divisions around 2000 or so.
