Default Does Peyton reach 555 TDs?

It's still technically my birthday, so grant me this one poll.

What a great day of football!

7 to 0 that he surpasses 555 touchdowns!

He's got 15 or so TDs so far. If he adds another 20, that puts him at 529 and needing another 26 TDs. So the general consensus is that Peyton finishes strong this year and has another decent year left in him?

Maybe I should have made the poll "600 TDs, over or under?"

Should have made the poll higher. I think he plays this year, next year, and possible another after

600 should have definitely been the number. The way he's played this year, there's no way he doesn't play next year. He has 9 weeks remaining this year. Conservatively projecting a 2TD/game average gets him to 528, which gives him a year to throw 27 more.
Now, to get to 600 he'll need to play at least through 2016, and throw 20 more this year and 35 in 2015 and 2016. It's possible, but projecting him to play through 2016 is tough IMO.

I agree, 600 should have been the number. I see no reason why Peyton cannot play at least two more seasons.

Maybe he is trying to win 2 superbowls in a row before retirement like John Elway. Then I can see him playing another 3 years.

Only way he doesn't get to 555 is if they win it at all this year and he decides to go out on top, which after last night's performance, is not farfetched. Both offense and defense are looking very good right now.

I feel he will end up with 562 and retires after 2015 season.

600+ is where he will end IMO.

He's a football junkie and I think he's got 3-4 more years in him.

Peyton will play this and next year and that's all. Not a chance in hell he plays in 2016. Maybe not a chance he plays in 2015 if he can manage a Superbowl title in '14 but I highly doubt that he can get them there two years in a row. Something tells me watch out for the Chargers this year.

Also depending on Brady does this year I do think this could be his last. Something else to watch. These guys aren't going to hang on too long, no reason to and Brady must see the writing on the wall that the Pats aren't going to the Superbowl this year. He heard all of the talk this season about how he was washed up. He doesn't have many more seasons in him and anyone expecting Peyton to play the next two years imo has lost their mind. 1 more season or no more seasons for Peyton after this one. He's about to hang it up
