The design is a little hard on my eyes but I'll buy some anyway.

I don't like the paint splatter design... why can't they keep it simple, like 1989 Score?

Thank god some company is taking aim at them. Go to your local card show and look around the room at what the median age is. Mock card companies all you want for trying to produce a kid friendly product, but if no new customers enter the hobby, where will it be in 20 years? I know I would have never gotten into this hobby for the first time as an adult. It took collecting as a kid, and I'd bet a good 80-90% of the adults in this hobby would say the same thing.

I give Panini a lot of credit for continuing this product and making it even more kid friendly despite probably not being one of their most profitable. Topps completely axed products like Bazooka and Topps Total, two of the only really cheap products they had, because it simply didn't make them enough money.

I worry about the future of the hobby quite a bit with not enough new collectors getting in. At some point it seems like all that will be left are the rip and flip, prospectors, and 'investors' but if there are almost no true collectors left, who are those people going to sell to?

Why do card companies think they need to make cards look childish to get kids to buy them? I took my kid brother to a show 10 years ago and he got hooked on the hobby with a few packs of 2000 Dominion. Clean white design, 2 bucks a packs, shiny inserts and a decent chance at an auto. If cards looked like comic books he might never have become a collector.

Is it just me or do these look exactly the same as last year, with just a little more paint splatter added? You can tell the designers were like what could we do different this year....more paint splatter!!!!! Oh yeah and lets make a bobble head card!
