Default A great card no doubt but are you sh@#$ing me??

Great card of a great player. Easily a 250+ dollar card but it's numbered to 5 not 1/1. And Peyton has autos in damn near every product on the market except for the rookie focused ones like Chrome and Contenders. $1k...really?

Yea and on top of that they want $2.75 for shipping. I really hope that it costs them more than $3 to ship that thing!

He's looking for the best offer. You put up a high price so you don't undersell it.

It's basic eBay selling--nothing controversial.

Yeah but what does he consider a good offer? $750? $800? Even that is still 400-500 dollars too high...

Here's an example: I pulled a 2008 Topps Chrome Chad Henne 1/1 plate auto boxtopper

I figured I'd get around $100 for it based on comparable cards (not Henne, but taking about 80% of the value of a recent Matt Ryan Chrome plate auto sale). I put a BIN/BO of $275 to field offers. Someone grabbed it at the BIN price. Who knows what I could have gotten for it.

That's the type of thing this guy is trying to avoid.

He is fishing like most people with higher dollar listing do. Sometimes you get someone that must have the card and they hit the BIN or make a substantial offer.

Most often the sellers are delusional on the value of cards. It is not 5 years ago.

maybe he doesn't care if he sells it but if he can get 1K or almost that he would take it. Either way it is a pretty sweet card!

Yeah, I pulled a Aaron Curry 1/1 UD Black Lustrous last year. Did not know what it was worth. Was thinking I might get 100-150 tops. Put a BIN 500 or BO and two days later someone offered me 300 and wanted it overnighted for his son's b-day. Felt pretty good about that box.

I was going to buy it for $1000 but the $2.75 just turned me off.

I agree with most everybody else..nothing really strange about the auction, just trying to get some publicity and potentially high offers

while i do think 1k is a little high it does have some things working for it:

-#/5
-inscribed with something personal
-one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game

and it came form the most high end product available..not too mention it was the last NFL licensed UD product for awhile
