I think Babe Ruth is inside, and now I'm broke and can't afford to hire anyone.

Damn Matt!!! That Thorpe made me all warm inside!

I just went and looked at a collection yesterday and he actually ahd the Ruth SK. Had nothing but the best 1909, Goudeys, SK's. You name it! All fake, every signle one. Even had the Eddie Plank card in the mix. Anyways, love to see the real deal, and the sealed pack is just amazing. This is the stuff my dreams are made of!

Thank you. They are staying in my PC. I can't help but love Sport Kings.

The pack was a redemption from Sportkings Series B.

Those are some sick pickups, I dont know how you are resiting opening up that '33 SK Pack, I would have torn into that sucker by now

I have only heard of two packs left in existence. I would think there are more, but no one seems to know. Everybody I talked to, (except for one guy), said this pack is the only one they know of that's left. The other guy I talked to said he has one too.

That's why I won't open it and why it's not even tempting. No matter what card(s) I pull from it, they won't be worth as much as this sealed pack. I have felt like I'm in the Red Sox stadium lately though because I keep hearing whispers resembling "Babe Ruth" very softly.

Can you get that pack to be authenticated by some company other than GAI? They may be respected in old pack authentication, but I just hate to see their "name" associated with such an amazing piece !!

So you said it's a redemption - you still could have paid $xx K for it ? Unless you pulled the redemption yourself - I'm sure you still paid MV for it ??!!

I didn't pull it. There is an amazing story behind this redemption card and process as a whole. The very quick version is a guy pulled it that lives out in the middle of nowhere in Canada. A friend of mine drove a couple of hours to the guy's house in the freezing cold and snow after dark last winter to pick it up for me. I didn't rest much until it finally made it's way home here in Kansas. Then I had to get it redeemed. It has been a fun ride with this card, that's for sure.
