Just a little background on how I received this scrapbook. I was talking to my father-in-law a while back and he said that he used to collect baseball cards when he was a kid. I asked him if he still had them and he couldn't remember. A couple of years later out of the blue he handed me a book and said he found them in a old box of his. I didn't know what to think when he handed me a 9" x 12" paper book that said "scrap book" on the front. I opened it and couldn't beleive my eyes. Vintage baseball cards. He told me they are from the late 40's. I asked why they are all glued to the pages
and he said that's how they were collected back then. A couple of well known names on the cards and some I don't know(especially the ones with no names on them) Can't read the back of the cards. I thought I would let you guys take a look and tell me what you think. Any info on these cards would be great.(Especially the no name ones) Not looking to sell right now but anybody have an idea of value?? Thanks for looking...http://img294.imageshack.us/g/scan0006k.jpg/ Last edited by scooter101; 03-16-2010 at 07:43 PM. |

These are 1949 leaf. Unfortunately, being glued to the pages kills them. The DiMaggio goes for $3000, the Williams about $1200 and the Musial $1000. The Mize and other minors stars around $100. Is there a Satchel Paige ($15000
) or Jackie Robinson ($2000)?
