Flea market adventures. Vintage edition

Hey guys,

From now on, I'll post and talk about my vintage findings on the flea markets I usually go on sundays.

First of all, some important notes about this issue:
* I live in the Dominican Republic.
* NO hobby stores here in DR. I get all my boxes and supplies from BO and ebay.
* I'm tire of todays no-value product and recently decided to chase vintage affordable stuff. Also I have a theory: There have to be some good cards around because this country loves baseball more than politics. I'll keep looking and see what happens.
* 40cents each ($20 pesos local currency)
*Damaged but nothing beats the feeling of having vintage cards at a good price

That said, here's the list and some pics of this past weekend findings (I bought 42 cards but I'll only list the most relevant).

I'd be happy with those at 40 cents each! Once I can get my collection sorted, I'm going to start working on building some sets that I'm misssing. Mightr start at 88 and work my way back to my birthday year (78) and them maybe once thats done work up to the current year and/or go back even further to my dads birthday year...hopefully by them my pockets are a little deeper and I can get some of the higher end vintage cards.

I mean, uh, you don't want to collect Vintage Cards they are too old.

I wouldn't go near those if you paid me.

That awesome! Great price for the pick up, and vintage is the way to go!

For me, I would love to get my hands on a 1975 Topps Mini set. My dad sold his in the 90's to help fund a Hawaii trip. Sorry for the hijack.

Thanks man. I'll keep posting and see how it rolls. I've always been a player collector and have never sort out the collection I have out of binders. Maybe one day I will.

Tks for the comment. I probably will. That's a good idea. I'm a regular visitor to some blogs but I've never done one myself.

I just started a new job so not much free time left. I'll think about it over the weekend and put the word out here.

Just in case one of you guys needs any of the cards I'll find, I DONT TRADE OR SELL because the shipping rates will kill us cause there's no regular and reliable postal service here in my country. In case it's a white whale situation just pm me and we'll work it out.

GUYS:
While buying this cards last week I ran into 20 cards of 1957 Topps Hits and Stars (Gene Kelly, the Drifters, and some others musicians and movie stars). Didn't buy it because the seller was asking USD$6 each. Cards conditions were much better than the ones posted here.
Should I get that?
