06/07 The Cup Profit Sharing break discussion/poll

Due to the recent interest of 06/07 the cup from everyone on the board, and since it was brought up in private messages with another board member I wanted to start discussion of a possible profit sharing break for upwards of 5 cases of the cup...personally I was thinking of doing the break (preferrably right before christmas - i know its really early), and timing it so that the sales end in the day or so after christmas.

my thinking was, for 5 cases (x $1800 if the price holds) = $9000 ... all the other rules of a group break apply (going by the razor break - and also TBD later on)..also, i do have video capability to do the break, but i know we've touched on tax implications before - and THAT i do not know much of... but again, this is just discussion for now.

i just wanted to guage interest in how much people would be commit to putting up in order to purchase a share...
choices are

a) $100/share MAX
b) $200/share MAX
c) $300/share MAX
d) $300 or more/share MAX

EDIT: ok. its late and i jsut realized i probably F'd up the poll and should have included how many shares you'd be willing to buy LOL. its ok. once a baseline price per share is established we can move forward.

i'm broke and still owe you, but i'd take a share at $100 if it's not for a few weeks. $200-300 is to rich for me though.

Just something to think about. 5 people to go in on a 5 case break.

i'd do it LOL. doing it that way at least if one of the cases suck, others can compensate. less people = less sahres = more money to go around IF there is a profit.

I know that there are several people on this board that watch for the big hits in a product and somewhat keep up with how many have been pulled. So the question is do you think that there are still pretty good odds on still pulling some big hits or has this product has been ripped to death?

Well, I had thought about doing a case myself and emailed Chris about pricing, but I MIGHT consider a group break

I have seen a number of the "good" 1/1 dual shields pulled already (ie: Gretzky/Lemieux that sold for $7300 and Brodeur/Roy that sold for $5200), but I'm sure there are still a number of hits to be found

the last time i saw the dual shield (auto/non-auto'd) tracker on the other board, it looked like there was still A TON of them that had yet to be accounted for (as far as those people could tell).

the only thing that concerns me is how bad las years rc class is slumpin (based on sales alone)

but then again would you rather break the cup? or exquisite?

Exquisite aye? What sport?

Last year's class is slumping, but I do think they have the talent to make a comeback and hopefully jumpstart the values to back up again.
