2007 Bowman Sterling Group "Team" Break - Checklist!

Okay, here is the "master checklist" for 2007 Bowman Sterling Baseball. Please let me know if you see anything wrong or unusual. This is what will be used for the Group "Team" Break.

As mentioned previously, the PICTURED team will be used to determine what team a player is assigned to - e.g., Cameron Maybin is pictured as a Tiger, so that is his team for the break.

To the best of my knowledge, the only SP in the set is the Mantle relic, just like last year.

Based on the cases I've busted, it appears that collation of the autos is very good, with nearly all appearing once at a minimum - and some 2 or 3 times (with a refractor always a possibility). The collation on the non-autos doesn't appear as good, but that's not what everybody's hoping for!

I will follow-up with the overall rules in a day or two, and will then look to start the auction for each of the 30 teams on Marty's site within a week or so. I'll look for some input from those participating last year on starting $ for each team. Again, I'm thinking of having the auctions run for about 2 weeks, unless somebody has a better idea - one month last year just seemed TOO LONG.

I think once you announce the auctions start date, 7 days should be fine. This whole process will have kept everyone aware and they should be ready to bid once things are set. Try to make the auctions end at a fair time for east and west coasters. Maybe 10pm eastern?

Vinny...sounds reasonable to me. I'll just make sure everything lines up for payment, then for a date to do the break.

Plus, I'll have the opening bids set such that we (really, I) won't have to worry about the bids falling short of the cost!!

Since I didn't participate in this last year, I'm curious how the bidding works. Is there sniping in this system? I think I'd be disappointed if there was.

There are no snipes but people did start bidding like crazy at the last minute and some got in bids after the auction should have been closed. TK was able to check the times and the person who got the last bid in before the close time won.
I missed out on the Cubs lot by 3 seconds.
