2007/08 Upper Deck Black Group Break

I would like to do 2007/08 Black Basketball too. That would be a fun break. Lets get a plan together for that guys. So here are my thoughts. Because black is one card per pack, if we just did single slots it would be no different then going and buying a pack at your local shop. So I want to make it a bit more interesting. I think this works best, but it is a bit expensive.

2 Cases of 2007/08 UD Black

Cost: $210.00 a slot.

Slot: 2 Random Hits/20 slots total

Hits: 40 Hits (40 packs in 2 cases)

Why: This would give you an opportunity to get 2 Level A Autographs. Puts 4 Level A Auto's into the mix. Its the same cost of a box, but you have a chance of getting better than box odds. Lastly, 2 cases mean twice the fun!

How: Live Real Time Video just like the 2007 SP Authentic break I did

But you also have a chance at doing worst than box odds.

I would hate to be the person that gets a:

Mike Miller Jersey #/99 and a Rip Hamilton Jersey #/99. - $210

Just my 2 cents:
If you sell by the pack - at least everyone is guaranteed an auto. It is no different than buying a pack but it is the excitement of the break, being involved in it, and seeing who get the A autos that we are buying in for.

Put me down for a slot either way.

Sitting around waiting for your Youtube video to load so that we can see what was pulled is not my idea of a good time - with all of the time that elapsed between when your SP case was broken and the videos are actually uploaded one became old and grey.....

Sorry to say it but if this is the idea of a good group break than this idea has already passed us by.

BTW - I do speak from experience as I hosted the 2 case Razor Poker group break earlier in the year......

Wow dobber, I hate to make you eat your words, but here it goes. You completely mistaked me for someone else. I don't even use youtube. You hijacked the thread and insulted me and you don't know what your talking about. My breaks are real time live video and I am the only one doing it. Everyone who did and didn't participate in my break enjoyed it. I don't remember one complaint. So in the future please make sure you know what your talking about before you go all high and mighty. But hey if you want to see what all the hype is about you should buy a slot.

First off, I am pretty sure you mean box. Cause not every pack is guaranteed an auto and if we did it by pack then we would have the same dilemma that you wouldn't be gauranteed an auto. But by box then I understand what you mean. I will do what the majority wants. I thought that this would be a fun way. Yep, you have the possibility of getting two jersey cards. You also have the possibility of pulling two autos also. I was thinking that would bring more excitement and gamble into it. If it was me entering the break I would really enjoy my idea more, just because if I wanted a box I could go to a local shop and get one. But I also frequent the Indian Casinos because I am a gambler by heart. So we could be thinking of things from different ends of the spectrum.

I checked out some information on this product and found that only RCs are numbered to 99. All non-rookies are numbered to 50 or less. Also, 75% of the cards are autos and you are guaranteed at least one auto per box.

I think I will keep it the way I have it then. I think we should be able to fill 20 slots. The faster the better though, because I am thinking the price on this case is going to rise.

What do you guys think?

Wunder - if I confused you with someone else then please accept my apology - keeping all of the new guys sorted out who all want to do breaks is not on my top of mind...

IMHO If you want this group break to go a little smoother then I would fill it one case at a time and do one slot at $105 with 20 slots per case. While you are not guaranteed an auto it may make it easier to swallow the price. After all if I got in on this break for 1 box/2 packs then my odds would be 1/5 of hitting one of the big autos. How is that different than me ordering a box from Chris?? I still get the 1/5 shot of hitting a big auto - Chris does not open anything so everyone should have equal shot. If you get enough interest then add the 2nd case - just make slot 1 the first box left pack and slot 2 is the first box right hand pack. As long as you are consistent I don't think anyone would care.
