Default Beware lb sportscards -omaha

Gentlemen I want to warn you all about this store before the same thing happens to you. I used to frequent this store until I learned what kind of businessPERSON (I cannot even use the word man here) is.

I bought enough Panini Product to get the Damian Lillard redemption from Panini. I sent in my receipts and information and got a message from David Sharp (QA manager for Panini) that he needed to contact the local store to verify. So he did and I got an EBAY message from the store owner who said

"Josh

I have been contacted by Panini about your request for the Lillard autograph cards to verify these products were purchased before this promotion began. You have until tomorrow morning (Wednesday) to pay me the $915.00 or otherwise I will contact Panini with the email address I was given to void this transaction."

Please everyone beware of this store as I am working with panini to rectify the situation even as far as emailing Mark Warsop about this situation.

Does not look like it will. Even called Mark Warsop (CEO of Panini) and he said they need to stand by their customer and not the consumer. And to think I spent over $1500 on Panini products just to get this item.

Needless to say I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (Which by no surprise has Panini as a F rating) and filed with the local County Attorneys office for extortion against the local store.

I hope others learn from my mistake and choose other companies like Upper Deck or Topps so you do not get screwed like I did.

File a BBB complaint, or heck.........that's borderline blackmail, definitely extortion. You could make a legal case against him.

I'd also contact that David Sharp QA guy at Panini and make sure he gets that email that the shop owner sent you.

Lastly, destroy the shop. Publicly, social media, etc. That's absolutely ridiculous.

I have contacted David as well as mark the CEO. Both said they don't want involved and that I am not receiving the redemption pack. I'm no longer supporting panini.

scum! Panini supports B&M and not the customer? WOW

I'd go and return all the product to the shop for a refund (doubt this would work, but I think it would be fun to try) see how he handles that!

You have receipts right? Little suprised panini can't go off of those, but I guess they might not even show what you purchased.

In that case I'd also put it out there via social media channels about Panini's knowledge of the situation, and preference to back the store instead of the consumer.

Bruce's shop is the same one where he will allow customers to walk in, pick packs out of the box, open them up...until they are satisfied with the number of hits they pulled, and THEN pay for the packs. That leaves nothing but dead boxes sitting on the counter. He usually will not restock until most of those last remaining packs are sold off. All of his boxes sit on the counter instead of behind them.

I've stopped going there for this reason alone after getting burned several times. I know there are other BO members on here who have felt the same way.

I don't owe him anything. Have not been to his store in months. I heard he has tried this before. Filed with the BBB and have filed paperwork with the County about this.

Wait aren't you both considered customers?
Sounds to me like the shop and Panini are putting
it to you. Aren't the receipts dated?

I am a little confused also. How did the shop owner come up with the $915 figure?

Not sure on the number itself. The shop owner I guess has tried this before from talking with local people and the County att. is looking into it. I will update as it comes

According to him to say yes it was purchased there because there was no date on the receipt. I offered Panini a screenshot of my CC statement to see how much was spent there and that it added up to the number on the receipt but they would not consider that.

Bruce has always been a little shady, and not exactly friendly when you walk into the store. I haven't gone back there in over a year.

He's been friendly to me and I don't drop dough over there. but I will say there is some kind of awkwardness here and there. Scott, on the other hand, got his customer service down lol

That's because no one has punched Bruce in his throat guaranteed to be a game changer

Glad my LCS is a lot better, I don't understand why some LCS owners don't treat their customers with respect and appreciate their loyalty. My LCS(Big Hit Sports Cards) is awesome and they go out of their way to get to know their regulars.

Between both Panini and LB's I am turned off by the industry anymore and starting to focus on my memorabilia moving forward.
