I was thrown an offer of $180 for the Backstrom.......Should I just let it expire or counter offer before the offer expires?

Patience is the key HJ. I use BO for my pricing benchmark. Will only buy with a max of a $10 premium to BO prices (for the have to have now fix)...also I try to just bring cash to limit impulse buying and save on tax.

But is always good to throw some support to your LCS.

And keep the GF home too...

I don't think my LCS would come even close to BO's prices. I have a problem with "the urge" and always "want it now.".......lol

I don't expect my card store to match blowouts prices. Never have as its two difference business plans. Blowout deals in volume, my card store I doubt orders in a year what Chris is buying daily. Much bigger scale. But I can go into my local store and buy a pack or two. I know when products get really hot online, prices climb. These are great instances where a local store can be an advantage. Not only do I get the product that day, but can get it listed. Downside, I can't walk in and say I'd like a case of this and a case of that. If I'm the first there, I might be able to pull that off, but I've never tried it. Next product that fits this example will be 08 Triple Threads BB. Hoping I can get a box or two locally at a decent price...actually come to think of it I need to email him

Thats what I like about my LCS. I get first dibs on whats coming in. How much product I would like for them to hold for me(depending on how much of the product he expects to get in.

I've gotten high enough on the local food chain as long as I let him know ahead of time I can preorder....down side is tax, so I tend or order online, but most of the time I can get the product upwards of a day early (verses a day after live) which as well all know can make the difference. Only problem is its cash only....and I can't seem to keep enough in my account to cut the big case checks

Robert,

You know you if you sell on Ebay you can become tax exempt if you have a store. I haven't done it yet but I may do it. Then you wont have to worry about upfront taxes!!!

Yes..but you then have to worry about the State and Feds and doing business taxes (including appling for a licence, etc). I know in MI you have 5 years to turn a profit or the state will audit you. At this point, I'm border line, but with what I spend on cards (or have spent), I'm well in the hole so I havent worried about it yet.

Default Nicklas Backstrom Quad Patch/Jersey Auto #15/15 Update!!!

Well, I sold it the card off ebay to one of the ebay members that made a BO to me for $325 dlvd. Good thing is that I saved on Ebay fees. He has already paid via paypal and I will ship the card registered tomorrow. Should I have any worries since the purchase wasn't made through Ebay. Or having being paid by paypal and shipping it registered everything should be OK? I've never sold anything off ebay is why I am asking.
