And thats why i dont buy the cup...its too up and down...either you get something great or you get nothing...too risky for 325.00+ dollars....IMO

Actually...for being 2 weeks into collecting blasters are a good way to break the ice...
was your first box the cup or some other high end product? no i didnt think so...

I just honestly dont understand the hype with this stuff...yeah there all nice patch or auto cards...but its risky...unless you can buy a case of it...then its too risky for me...

PS: Im moving up to SPA and SPX tomorrow...now from blasters to SPA i think thats alright..lol

That Bossy 1/1 and Howe will pay for almost both tins.

thats the other thing i forgot to mention...being new...and not being in the beckett i have NO idea what the cards are worth. im looking at it as keeping the cards...and most of you re sell them right?

Well it has nothing to do with beckett. Alot of people look to resell & some like to put the nicer pulls in their PC. It has to do with knowing the players and what the interest in those players are. If you don't know who Gordie Howe or Mike Bossy is than you must be very new to the hockey scene. Especially after seeing your sig. You must have gotten interested in hockey when the 05/06 season rolled around. Also SPA is probably one of the worst products to open IMO in any sport. Hot garbage if you ask me.

Chill, I was just ribbing you a little about the blasters. I do buy them from time to time, but only when I have to open something and don't have access to a card shop or the $$ to buy packs/a box.

My first box purchase (when I got back into collecting) was a box of Artifacts FB and 2 boxes of Bowman Chrome FB.

Well i know who those older players are...i used to collect when i was about 10 but i never liked the older players...i like the young guys...always been that way...
My fav. player when i was younger was Pavel Bure. mind your im 22 years old so i didnt watch bossy and howe ever play in games.

If your talking Hockey, I would say UD Series 1 or 2, Regular OPC....I would buy those over SPA or SPX. When you buy SPA you basically get almost 2 complete base sets and you've got to get really lucky to hit anything big. SPx is a little better than SPA. At least UD you can average 6 RC's and have a better chance of hitting a top tier RC.

yeah...UD sr. 1 and 2 is good...i already have both sets made up several times (sr.1 rookies are almost done) I have most of the OPC made up too... Im looking for something that i can pull some jersey/patch/autos out of but without going over 150.00 per box...

how is the SPX 06-07? i see they are a fairly cheap box...but how are the hits in them?

If your looking to spend under $150...go with a box of OPC Premier. I've had a lot of good luck with that product!!! BO has them for $137.99

Your guaranteed a Quad Jsy Auto RC in it as well as other Jsy or patch cards.

UD Artifacts is at a good price too @ $117.99

Stay away from it unless you plan on getting multiple boxes or a case. I got very lucky with my box by pulling a Howe baseball skin Sig. The rest of the cards got me about $10 combined.

I have the cash in hand...i just dont know what to buy...this sucks...alot of ppl told me to go for the 06-07 SPA cuz of the 2 year rookie thing...
and the SPX 06-07 is fairly cheap to get too...
