as for the expired redemption, anyone know if upper deck will work with me at all? they'll already be getting a very annoyed email for all the damaged cards you'll see below...

oh my _ _ _ _! how did that happen? I'd be beyond p*ssed off. I don't know anything about hockey but I assume if everything was intact you'd be pretty happy. Really how do you put cards like that into packs? You must have gotten the case that beckett didn't want to open on video. good luck man.

I ripped through cases of this product back in the day, always searching for the elusive Crosby and Ovechkin RCs. I came across a TON of boxes with jacked up SPx RC autos. The quality control on this product was HORRIBLE, and it extends to all of the cards, not just the SPx autos (I guarantee if you check some of the Trilogy RCs you pulled, you'll find roller marks and banged corners and all kinds of problems). Sorry you got hosed and good luck with UD, they may be able to help you out with the Carter/Thornton.

Upper deck becomes worse and worse in the quality.
The damaged Cards are hopefully substituted?

I used to open a lot of that stuff, since I got it pretty cheap. I never had any damaged though. I stopped after I cried when I got the Ovechkin/Kovalchuk Redemption, lol. Upper Deck should really just keep higher end redemptions for the actual redemption cards, even if it is past their silly expiration date. I mean they give out new, still redeemable stuff as exchanges. Their program is pretty crappy.. They should only give out the good stuff if a person has the redemption.

A rep for Upper Deck at the National Show, told me they do not care about anybody who buys older products, because it is the buyers fault the redemptions are expired. As if that makes any sense really...

My experience is that UD won't work with you on expired redemptions, and they won't work with you on damaged cards. They simply don't care.

And why should they? They don't make any money on 'vintage' wax. The only way to make them act right is to stop buying their current products.

I had a similar problem with this product when it came out, but that was only like 3 or 4 boxes. That sucks, hopefully they will do something for you.
