Here are the scans of my hits and then my thoughts and recap below those:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This was 5 boxes of an eight box case and I saw the other 3 opened as well and there was NO HOT BOX in the case. Big fail Panini. (Big Thumbs Down) Here's a recap / thoughts: 1) The case contained 3 patch cards, 2 rookie auto jerseys /499, 2 private signings, the fotg auto jersey and a bunch of non numbered rookie autos. (thumbs down) 2) Although the rookie autos are on-card, they are also not numbered. (thumbs up cancels thumbs down) 3) The foil inserts are also not numbered except for the parallels. (thumbs down) 4) Why can't Panini make non-numbered base foil rookies as part of the base set, do them 5 per box and have 40 in the set so an 8-box case yields you the set. In this day and age of the hobby, they should be doing whatever they can to add value to products and something like this would not cost any more. We don't need Kyle Okposo, Paul Stastny, and Barrett Jackman base cards. They could still do Freshman Signatures and Freshmen Fabric Signatures as well. 5) If you're going to do 150 different FOTG jerseys numbered to /399, at least do them 1 per pack. I gave Panini one last shot figuring they would come out swinging with the first mid range product of 2011-12 and they took a big swing and a miss. Last edited by iluvfish2; 11-22-2011 at 08:49 AM. I thought Certified hot boxes were one per master case, not the 8 box inner case? I think that was the deal last year, not completely sure though.
This years product looks miles better than last years though, I will buy a bunch of this for sure. |

Not sure why you're not liking certified. I love the design, and it seems like all of the hits are pretty decent. I wont be buying a case of it, but I'll try a box.

Cards look nice, but I'm spending less this year that previously and am choosing less products with less headaches, and for me, that's UD SP Game Used instead of this stuff.

. Jk jk. Thanks for the review, btw. Looks like a very nice product, but not something I'll be busting a case of.

I like the looks of the auto rcs (like the Totally Certified design). Getting tired of the small square Fabric of the Game jerseys. Not numbering the cards is getting to be a recurring theme with Panini.

The 2010/2011 Season Ticket cards looked FAKE on the back of them. Looked like a scan of a scan of a scan. I bought a Season Ticket Rookie Card on Ebay and when I turned it over, I really thought I got scammed. I was about to rant and rave but I brought it in to my LCS and they said " No its legit. And I LOVE them. The back you will get used to"
I WILL GET USED TO? ARE YOU F-ING KIDDING ME? YOU PAY HOW MUCH FOR A SINGLE BOX AND I HAVE TO "GET USED TO" A CARD LOOKING LIKE THE DAMN PRINTING INK WAS RUNNING OUT? It was rediculous. Now that being said, did I buy a box of 11/12? Yes. I bought a few boxes. Their cards look MUCH better now but I just couldnt believe Panini. And my "hits" werent the greatest. Granted I didnt buy a case, but come on. With two full time above average incomes living in NY and owning a home and having a small kid, WHO THE HELL COULD AFFORD A CASE?! |
