Default 24 Tins of UD Series 1

I've never busted these things before but after a few quick calculations, I realized that the newly released UD Series 1 Tins would yield more Young Guns for less compared to hobby boxes, so I decided to give it a go.

Breakdown as seen by my own 2 sealed cases:

2 x Tin Cases
12 Tins per case
5 Game Jerseys per case
3 Young Guns, 2 Canvas and approx 3 inserts per tin
Bonus Oversized Capitals vs Penguins Winter Classic Insert per tin

Total:
76 Young Guns
48 Canvas
72 inserts
24 Oversized cards
10 Game Jerseys

+ 1 Blaster containing 2 Young Guns, 2 Canvas, 2 Inserts, 1 Oversized Young Gun

Total Spent:
Approx $560.00
Yielded:
78 Young Guns
50 Canvas
10 Game Jerseys
74 Inserts
24 Oversized Winter Classics
1 Oversized Young Guns

Even though these tins and blasters lack Exclusives /100, Spectrum Exclusives /10, Autographs and Patches, there's great value, at least that's what I found in my breaks.

To compare, that same $560 spent on Hobby boxes would have paid for 7.5 boxes.
7.5 boxes:
45 Young Guns
30 Canvas
15 Game Jerseys
Approx 45 Inserts
Possibly: Auto, Clear Cut, Patch, Exclusives, Spectrum Exclusives

Here's what I actually pulled:

Young Guns
Almost a complete set, missing 7
Spare Young Guns:
204-Roman Horak
205-Justin Faulk
206-Marcus Kruger
210-John Moore
211-David Savard
212-Cam Atkinson
213-Tomas Vincour
215-Anton Lander x 2
219-Aaron Palushaj
220-Alexei Yemelin
221-Raphael Diaz
222-Brendon Nash x 2
226-Adam Henrique
227-Adam Larsson
228-Tim Erixon
230-Colin Greening
231-Patrick Wiercioch
232-Erik Condra
236-Erik Gustafsson
238-Harri Sateri
240-Brett Connolly
242-Joe Colborne
*243-Matt Frattin
244-Ben Scrivens
245-Cody Hodgson
246-Yann Sauve
247-Carl Klingberg
248-Mark Scheifele
249-Paul Postma

Canvas
50, including:
Young Guns Checklist
Brandon Saad Young Guns x 2
Brett Connolly Young Guns
Blake Geoffrion Young Guns
Mika Zibanejab Young Guns

Complete Winter Classic Oversized Set (1-14)
+ 10 Doubles

Game Jerseys:
Corey Perry SP
Jeff Carter SP
+ 8 others

Key Inserts included 8 confirmed Short Prints from EA Ultimate Team and All World Team

and

And if that wasn't good enough, I hit these:
3 x Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Young Guns
1 x Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Young Guns Canvas

No Joke, everything listed above is exactly what I pulled from those 24 tins + 1 blaster, I think my 2 cases were just loaded.

Sorry for the long read, but this has definitely changed my view of these retail setups!

4 Nuges out of 24 tins, that's awesome. Especially since 1 was a Canvas. I wonder what the estimated print run is for the Nuge Canvas? Congrats man

Thanks! I'm not sure how many were printed, but I am surprised at how well they're still selling.

Blasters have oversized YGs? I don't think the ones I saw at Target today said anything about having those in them.

They are like last years anniversary cards. A quasi-parallel set except the pictures are different from the regular cards. Figuring that they are 1:6 packs means getting someone good will be somewhat difficult.

They have a canvas type front and a papery kind of back.
