I found a couple of boxes online for cheap so I decided to break these though I didn't have a great idea of what was in each. Here is the results:
2004 Exhibit: These cards are very unusual as the giant 3.5 x 5 exhibit cards are just giant cards. I pulled the following giant base cards of note: Pavel Bure Steve Yzerman Marian Hossa Ed Belfour Joe Sakic Mark Messier Mario Lemieux The base cards were nothing to write home about but I did get a few inserts: Standing on Tradition: Roberto Luongo Pursuing Prominence: Jason Spezza (I guess he is still currently pursuing) History Makers: Mario Lemieux Finally the "big" hits as they both were on 3.5x5 cards: Game worn relic Nikolai Khabibulin /550 Time Wrap: Frank Mahovlich auto and Martin Brodeur game worn relic /565 Not bad to pull a hofer auto and future hofer relic for cheap... The 2002 Titanium Private stock might be the best looking base cards I have ever seen. The base hits were: Jagr Lindros Federov Lemieux Red parallels and other parallels Pavol Demitra /94 Evgeni Nabokov /94 Joe Sakic Premiere date /94 Pulled an Ilya Kovalchuk rookie 3 star selection: a little soft on one corner but okay otherwise. The double sided jersey relics were what made the box though: Mark Bell (1clr) + Steve Sullivan (2clr) Patrick Lalime (1clr) + Simon Gagne (1clr) Scott Gomez (1clr) + Patrick Elias (2clr) Felix Potvin (1clr) + Ziggy Palffy (1clr) Vaclav Nedorst (1clr) + Alex Tanguay (2clr) Best hit of the relics: Adam Deadmarsh patch (4clr) + Bryan Smolmski (2clr with seam) /163 The patches on this card a very cool and recognizable as part of the Kings crest. All told, not bad at all. Let me know if anyone wants to see the scans or is still reading this way too long post... j |
