Case of History of Hockey

Everything is now posted. The missing mem/art cards were not a nefarious plot to make the product look bad. If anyone (including Dr. Price) thinks so, they can take their tin foil hats off now since everyone can now see everything from the full sealed 4 box case. I added what I could last night and finished once I got my scanner working again. For those that think the art/mem cards would make anyone feel better about the other cards in the case, now you can judge for yourself. I made some comments in my previous post that make it sound like I am disappointed. Let me assure you, those comments are very tame compared to what I actually feel. I'm only refraining out of respect for Dr. Price.

I just threw up a little in my mouth. I feel for you man, who wants a slabbed authentic rookie card? I am scared to look up the box price of one of these. Don't get me wrong, I love BTP and Heroes and Prospects, the Forever Rivals set was cool too. But this, I can't see the value or the fun in opening this stuff. Okay, I just checked the price per box of this stuff as I am typing this. That is pathetic, I am sorry you had to dish that kind of money out for that. Unacceptable in my opinion, theres no value at all at about $250 a box for 4 cards, if that is what is going to come out of them.

There is no valid excuse for putting it in there whatsoever. You dont put a $1 slabbed "hit" card in that expensive of a product. Plain and simple. That is just stupid and unfair to collectors.

Two nice Lindbergh cards, an Yzerman auto, and a memorabilia piece of Plante in a case an out come the pitchforks???? Really???

Is it the best case of the product? No, few cases get that distinction. But I don't see a total loss here at all.

I wrote a sensible clear PM to Dr. Price, not rude, not bashing and I am a little taken by the "Internet tough guy" quote. Bash or praise your product this is not how you address the people who pay for your product. I am still waiting on a response to my PM. This PM will definitely reflect whether I buy products from the good doctor again.

You do realize he dropped $1,200 on that break right? That might be a good break for 1 box, not a case. I'd call that a loss.

A patch similar to the Lindbergh ITT sold for $95, so I'll say resale could be between $400-$500 for this case, but prolly not much more than that.

He spent $1200??? Well crap he did get hosed...I heard this place called BO sells them for only $900.

Prices seem to vary by store. My LCS has cases at $1000 (which ends up being over $1100 with taxes). Blowout has them much cheaper apparently.

I know they are cheaper online. I wasn't initially going to buy any but I did because I didn't want the owner to get stuck with it. He basically only carries hockey for me and a couple of other customers so if he got stuck with it, we might not see anything new for a long time.

The case is worth 2x more than the card it holds. I don't know if you thought about this before the product was released.

This product is junk a pile of crap - looks like hockey is out and they are trying to recoop lost profits.

One good card out of the worth case (and probably worth $100 at most) - stay far away!
