I normally takes pictures of slabbed cards outside in natural lighting. It's dark now so I will add pics of the others later.

That Howe is just dead on. That is by far one of the best sketches I have seen from Best of Hockey.

Pics!

I don't know how to use the thumbnail option, can anyone help me with that?

I can't find the Eberle on the Beckett population report. Can anyone help with that?

Any ideas on values?

Thanks for looking!

Most of the sketches I've seen are good in their own way. I tend to like the colored ones more. Of the ones we pulled I think may favorite is the Brian Kong Joe Sakic. He even added color to the back of it.

I wish I could draw like these folks!

Ha, kind of fun...I've looked up a number of break threads but this is one of very few I've seen with one of my sketches.

Also just an FYI, the color on the back of the card is due to markers bleeding through, which was quite common. Happened to me several times if I used lots of layers or had a large filled in area with a dark color, or used the colorless blender.

Yes, these were very good boxes. We still have Probert, Lester Patrick, and Joe Sakic sketches, the Howe aute, stamkos RC and auto and the Eberle GU/Auto.

I was going to wait until hockey get's going again before listing them. I happened to list the Crosby at the perfect time when Penguins were still in playoffs. It sold for BIN 200 in 10 minutes, maybe it was too low. Previous sales for that card will all under 200.

I REALLY liked the Gretzky. I remember wanting that card as a kid but of course was unobtainable for a 10-12 year old. That was actually the first one I've seen in person.

bradu, your sketches are awesome! They definitely add more value to this product and we enjoyed looking at it.

thanks thedarkbrown...I am such a huge hockey fan I was ecstatic to get in on this set. I'm usually pretty open to taking on just about any set just to get my feet wet, but I had a lot more fun with these Leaf hockey sketches than I did with, say, the 2 TV show sets I just did where I've never watched those shows before. lol

Brad's stuff is awesome. As a fellow artist who also worked on this set as well,I can vouch for him in that it was a lot of fun to do, since it was sports-related...although, unlike him, I'm not familiar with hockey (I'm a baseball guy).

His Howe card that was posted on this thread might be my favorite Best of Hockey sketch that I've seen...and there were many good ones.
