Very nice pull on the Crosby beige, probably a $50-60 card. The Ovechkin is a good one too, he's hot right now so if you were going to sell now is the time.

The only 5x7 that really sell are Crosby & Gretzky. Maybe Ovie now. I'm selling 5 x 7 sets for $50 because of the price point!! Full 5 x 7 set "books" over $250

thanks hj, i'm on the fence on whether or not to keep the crosby as it is my first pull of him, but then again the money i could get for it would be nice. the guy has another sealed box and one thats open, so i might just have to go back for more

You probably got the case box with that 5 x 7 Auto!!.....but I would still buy the rest of what he has......I totally drained my shops supply. When I bought it all it was @ $50/box...what did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

well he had it for 70, but i traded him a matt leinart artifacts 3 patch 7/15 and 2 dpp AP rookies and some random giants db auto. He gave me $75 for the leinart, $30 for the 2 AP's and $12 for the giants guy. I also received a hines ward chain reaction jersey /99 in the trade. I think I made out like a bandit on the deal to be honest with you. I tried to find a value on ebay for the leinart but didn't see anything similar, and I figured he'd give me like 20 for it, real surprised he gave me the 75

No kidding. Even IF that was from his rookie year that is a nice haul on the Leinart. Hopefully he knows a Leinart collector and you will BOTH make out on your trade. Always nice to have the shop owner on your side as little discounts here and there sure add up in a hurry.

yea, he seemed like a great guy. my original intention was to try and trade for a 07 BC Lawrence Timmons superfractor that he had just got in, but he had traded it yesterday, so I ended up just going for the box instead of picking up the steelers gu/autos i was looking at. Good choice on my part

very nice hj. so if i were to list what i pulled what do you think would be fair value? I was thinking 120 bin/bo for the crosby, and wait for AO to win the scoring title and see if he leads the caps to the playoffs and list the 5x7 45 bo and maybe 70 for the rookie. But then again placing values on cards are not my strong point and any help would be great.

The Ovie RC only books for $30, the 5x7 books for $8. You won't get what you are going to ask for those. Crosby's cards have been going up while Ovie's have been going down. That was before this season though. I don't think its the best time to list any Crosby's because he hasn't been playing.

good point hj, maybe i'll hang on to them for a while then. you think the Ovie cards will go back up if he wins the scoring title and if they make the playoffs? and what does the crosby book at?

one more question, i know how they have the parallel sets with the red, blue, beige, and gold, but i got a paul kariya with like a navy border that doesnt have the wood grain look that the other base cards do, is that some sort of insert or something?

Best I can do right now. I'm about the break my scanner...

Edit: looking at the UD site, it looks like the card is just a base. wasn't sure because it didn't have the same look as the other base cards did

Skell,

It is a base card. Each players base card has the "team" colored border. Every team will have the same color border.
