Salary dump for sure. Really surprised to see TT be traded. Thought the Hawks loved him.

Chicago couldn't find anyone to take Bickell's contract, and so Teuvo had to be thrown in. It's a shame, really, but this has become the norm for Chicago. Salary Cap crunch, and having to basically throw in valuable pieces just to move salary. All those top prospects and first round picks that were lost last year. Other teams know this, and are taking full advantage. Easier to deal with after winning 3 Cups in 7 years.

When you have 20 Million invested in 2 players theres going to be a cap crunch eventually and pieces will have to be moved at some point. TT is the first sacrifice and there will be more to come down the road.

I think what gets me the most on this deal was the picks you would think they would have got a little more for a player like Tevo .

They didn't just trade him though. They had to trade Bickell who's value is/was a serious negative, which the trade shows. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised that they even got a 2nd this year, even if it is a higher 2nd, along with a 3rd.

yea I think this was a win/win for both teams but especially Carolina. Carolina is way below even the salary floor and has the most picks of any team in this years draft including 2 1st and 3 thirds. So Chicago gets to dump the contract and even though they lose TT they get 2 decent picks and Carolina takes on a salary they need (while adding some depth) and get a young talented forward.
