Default Group case breaks by the team or by slots??

I understand that for products like the cup and O-Pee-Chee Premier and high end products like that we would do case group breaks by the slot. But is anyone interested in breaking a case of SPX or SPA by teams? JW because all I see are GCB by the slot and I was wondering if there was a specific reason? I could see it being a hassel to recored the opening of all the packs but thats about all? And i guess what would you do with the base cards, send them or what?

JW, let me hear your opinions!

Thanks

-Griff

The only products that you would want to do a GB on by teams would be something like UD 1 & 2, O Pee Chee, and other cases where there are a large base set and a low case price. SPX and SPA would be tough to do by teams, simply because the cost per slot would be too high to chance getting boned. With the set type products you are generally going to have a smaller cost per team where it won't hurt as much not getting a hit.

Thats True but with something like OPC if your only getting one team, you probably wouldnt walk away with much!? Something like SPA for like $34 per team your more likely to make your money`s worth, No?

O Pee Chee not OPC Premier. I'm assuming that is what you were thinking, right?

yah, to me it would be better to pay a few extra bucks and possibly walk away with more then alot of the same teams base and insert cards.

the group breaks that you can do by team are boxes that are cheap and have many hits, like in basketball(trademark moves, sp game used, elevation, luxury box, spx) and in football leaf limited and gridiron gear, and maybe some others. to do a brek by team the case has to be either extremely cheap or have many hits coming out of them

and there's a good reason for it....

there are only a handful of teams that people would really want........and not all teams have the same # of cards per case. i'd hate to be the guy who gets a team that has only two or three "hit potential" players in the entire product.

i actually prefer team breaks for cheaper products because the slots become cheaper plus even if you dont get a team with a big potential hit you will get a hit from the least expected player, like i did i group break of trademark moves once and i had the wizards, and i was like damn that sucks. but then i ended up with a nick young auto patch(4 color) /10 and a gilbert arenas caron butler chris bosh triple patch(11 colors) /25 from only one box. so by hit or by team its all luck. you can have the bulls/cavs and open 5 cases of exquisite(which happen yesterday on youtube) and they didnt even get one lebron or jordan auto, and you can do it by the hit and still get nothing or get an amazing card, so its all by chance.

Yah if anything that would be the main reason people shy away from team group breaks. But I still think that many good things come from a lower end fewer hit product!
