So as we get closer to the season, Im continuing to find myself looking for a specific players cards because I feel they are going to have an amazing year this year, and shoot up the collectors charts!
Who has the guts to share who they think is going to be the breakout player this year? And no Steven Stamkos or any bull like that. Is toews really gonna stay on top of the collectors mind from last year? What about Kane? This could be a fun thread!!! |

Im just saying any player that DID play last year or will be playing first this year! Mueller is my pick! I think he will be top 5 in scoring in the LEAGUE this year! May sound crazy, but Im feeling it. I think hes got huge upside when we see the coyotes into tho the playoffs this year

Nikita Filatov is the best pure-offensive weapon to hit the NHL since Ovechkin. Better than Malkin, but will be a defensive liability in Columbus and could live in Hitchcock's doghouse.
Not saying he is better than Malkin, Malkin is a much more complete player and may be the best in the league, but it would not shock me if Filatov potted 50 goals in his rookie year. Also, Nik Zherdev should be a second line player in New York. Time to pick up his 03-04 rookie cards, he could be a 40/40 player. Kari Lehtonen finally breaks out this year. A healthy Patrice Bergeron could score 40 and a healthy Simon Gagne could score 60 with Briere feeding him the puck. Mike Richards who broke out last year has a chance to be MVP, and Jeff Carter could be a 50 goal scorer, probably not this year but maybe. Jay Bouwmeester in Florida is now that team's leader, and he is playing for a contract, could be in for a huge season down there. David Booth is now Florida's top gun, could have a huge season. Speaking of huge seasons, Rotislav Olesz and Bobby Ryan both look like power forwards ready to break out. Oh, and a guy named Erik Ersberg will make a run at the Vezina trophy. I'll put my crystal ball away for now, my 10th NHL preview will be published in a newspaper (hopefully) this year. Don't want to give all my secrets out yet. __________________ Saving houses one case at a time, PM me if you need help saving your home from foreclosure. |
