Default Cards in storage

A good part of my PC has been in storage in Mississippi for 3 1/2 years. We fled during Katrina and I put all my belongings in there. I'm hoping everything stayed in good condition. I kept it high up in the storage unit and to my knowledge there was no flooding down there.

I get them back next week, hopefully all is well. Basically all but my best stuff from 1995-96 to 2003-04 is in there, including a whole load of Topps Pristine rookie cards. For me, Christmas will be December 20th.

So now that you got a big raise and staying at the same job, are you still planning on liquidating your remaining inventory?

Makes CMC storage fee of 1 cent a card per month easier to take...I wonder if CMC insures our cards.

Yes. I don't want to pile it up the way I used to. I probably only have about 800 or so singles worth selling. I'm going to send them to COMC and see what happens with them. The remainder I'll unload in a lot here once I get through what was in storage and determine what I want to hang onto from that.

I'll be disappointed if the stuff in storage got damaged, but everything was in top loads and penny sleeves so they should probably be fine. I had 7 or 8 in screw-downs, real nice 1997-98 Upper Deck rookies, they probably got wrecked. My Yzerman rookie was in a screw-down too, but that one will probably be OK.

I would put off sending in the hockey cards, send in the baseball and football only, bk and hk sells poorly.

Actually my BK has been selling steadily this week. Not as good as football, but not terrible.

I hope that you have great luck when you get to your cards. Putting them in penny sleeves and top loaders should have helped them to avoid the ill effects of the Southern Heat and Humidity.

Crossing my fingers. I'd hate to lose that Yzerman rookie.

Got them back yesterday, they are all fine. I am keeping about 10% of them and unloading the rest. A few cards are in there that I forgot I had. All of those Pacific Hockey rookie sets from the Toronto Expos, the Pristine rookie set, a dead mint 1997-98 Upper Deck Program of Excellence set, and my Yzerman rookie.
