Some more trade help

Ok, got another interesting trade offer.

I give up Steven Stamkos, but will get Ryan Whitney and Mikhail Grabovski in return.

Here's the catch, Stamkos was going to be my rookie keeper, but Kyle Turris and Nakita Filatov are in the FA pool.

Who else does the guy have on his roster? I always prefer to be on the one end of the two for one deal, here is the logic:

Suppose I need a LW. I offer Doug Weight C (who looks to be a 60 point player) and Anze Kopitar C (a 60 point player who is a keeper with an upside) for Patrik Elias a, LW who is on pace for a 90 point season, then if I go get a 50-55 point center off the heap, I have made a gain.

So who else does this guy have on his roster. I wouldn't be touching Penguin D-men if you count +/-.

If you don't count +/-, this seems like a decent deal, not sure why you need Grabovoski

Since I have your attention, did you send my cards yet? Kara can't wait for her Ovy rookie.

HAHAHA, Tell Kara its on the way!!!! I actually bought the Ovy off of my friend, he kept the other one that came with the Getzlaf!

We do have a Category for +/-, but I think that im taking the deal to get Turris.

Turris is a good keeper too. I was able to get Filewich along with Filatov in this year's rookie draft and I stuck them on the farm team... have a feeling about Filewich, reminds me a lot of David Booth, a guy who will take a while to develop but has 40 goal talent.

Definitely a fan of David Booth.

So, I ended up making the trade. I actually inherited this team, so I've spent all season trying to get the team to where I want it. Keep in mind that its a keeper league so I've been making trades to get young, low round talent.

My keepers for next year are:
Jeff Carter - 21st round
Anze Kopitar - 10th round
Nathan Horton - 13th Rd

1 open, might keep a current player or trade for one.

Goalie Keeper - Have to decide from Kipper (1st rd), Ilya Bryzgalov (3rd rd), or DiPietro (10th rd). Probably will keep Kipper despite his age and draft status, the man just is sick in net!

Rookie Keeper (Must be born on or after 9/27/88)
Kyle Turris - 21st round

I think that I have myself set up nicely for a long time! Maybe even with the chance of a playoff run this year!
