I was waiting 3 months for the Subban SPX auto JSY RC /499 and decided to request a replacement. They sent me a Subban SP Authentic auto RC /999 today as the entire replacement.
Granted, the Subban SPA is hard-signed and is now 'in-hand' - but the print run is twice as high and doesn't have the 'event worn GU" part (not that I care that much). The SV on the SPA because of it seems to be a bit lower based on redemption sales. OTOH, the SPA is a more collectible set... Thoughts? |

SPA tends to be the better/more popular brand than SPX, so I don't think it's a bad trade-off. I'll bet their logic was the same as yours that the card is a slight downgrade due to no jersey and higher serial numbering, but that the added prestige that SPA has probably makes up for it.
