Default Panini Unwrapped: Inside the 2011 Toronto Fall Expo Wrapper-Redemption Packs

Panini Unwrapped: Inside the 2011 Toronto Fall Expo Wrapper-Redemption Packs

November 11, 2011 at 11:05 AM

Before the Panini America team headed north of the border yesterday to begin preparations for the 2011 Toronto Fall Expo, Tracy Hackler sat down with Scott Prusha sat down to rip a few of the vaunted silver wrapper-redemption packs that will be a focal point of the show for many collectors all weekend long.

In this exclusive video, Prusha explains how the wrapper-redemption packs are put together while Hackler pulls some sweet hits. The best part? You’ll get a chance to win them throughout the weekend right here at The Knight’s Lance.

Oh, and if you can’t make it to Toronto for the show this weekend, you can still get in on the wrapper-redemption experience by purchasing selected hockey products at right now at iCollectPanini.com.

Those patch cards and the SKETCH cards are SIIIICK!

Too bad I live in America and cant get to Toronto.

So these will NEVER be for sale in a marketplace?

Seems like the rich get richer. If you are fortunate enough to live in a hockey driven country, have enough to buy boxes of cards, can get the day off from work, get the wife to allow you to spend a day at an expo for cards, you get to get one of one stuff and patch auto rookie cards for free.

But the rest of us schmucks will have to wait for the guys who pull them out of the packs for free to put the card up for sale at a rediculous price (a price a lot of us wont be able to afford) because you could only get these cards at the expo and they are one of ones.

Panini's way of screwing me some more

gotmonte...take it you've never been to any of the bigger shows? This is very common at the US Nationals and at both shows in Toronto. its not new. The Toronto Show runs Fri-Sun so its not all that hard to go and the US National is 5 days.

and what about this part

Yeah, I don't think so. $200 for Luxury Suite? $100 for Zenith? $96 FOR PINNACLE??? Those silver packs had better be filled with $10 bills to offset those ridiculous prices.

Plus, from the looks of the redemption cards, you can only redeem them at the Expo so if you happen to be lucky enough to hit one, you're probably SOL.
