congrats to Sidney. Now hopefully no one head targets him and he has a long and healthy career. The kid is an absolute genious with the puck and without the puck. Even though i dont like him cause he whines (he IS getting better at not whining though!) I wish him and the Pen's the best.

Pittsburgh is in a great position. Awesome without Crosby and even MORE awesome WITH Crosby!

Plus this will help his cards values now. People were worried and you started to see a VERY SLIGHT drop off in prices for his cards

I have a few Crosby autos that I'm waiting to unload. I question the wisdom of having him return against the Islanders.

very interesting thought. I didnt think about that. But last game was docile if I remember correctly.

And NO ONE wants to be on shanny's list of dogs to run a head especially if it is Crosby's fragile melon that is in question

Did you neglect where I said I was kidding and said it was a great thing for the NHL?

You need to relax pal. Everything is okay...they are just sports.

I'm just crossing my fingers that he can play the whole game without feeling woozy. The NHL needs one of its biggest stars back playing on a regular basis.

haha im ready for it. they all have the same come back.

"oh if he was on your team youd love him"

"when was the last time you won a stanley cup"

"Hes the greatest thing since toilet paper"

is he a great hockey player? without question! does that mean i have to like him? No way!

I think the NHL could survive without him. theres how many other stars in the nhl???

To pens fans everyone should kiss the ground he walks on.

True that. Second impact syndrome is awful. A concussion is like being hung over for a month, SIS is much worse. I just hope this kid is ready to play again and isn't rushing, with any luck he has 60 years + of life ahead of him, I'd hate to see him spend his latter years punch drunk.

This goes beyond the natural hate an Islander fan has for the Penguins, this is about another human being, and that is much bigger.

Usually after they exit the first round of the playoffs, which is pretty much every year.

They didn't understand concussions back then. They barely understood it when I retired in 2000. Your statement is ignorant.

Well played sir!

I like both and would take both on my team (Blue Jackets...hell, I'll take anybody right now)

I hope Crosby is healthy and stays that way...Pit needs him. Hockey in general doesn't need him, but it sure as hell doesnt hurt.

He has a Cup, a Gold Medal, etc... So in the grand scheme of things...thats not too shabby, but ultimately, unfortunate if he cant shake the concussion symptoms.

I feel so bad for columbus. I mean they have the talent but it just DOESNT click. Picking up jeff carter was such a bad move by them. Horrible locker room prescence.
