Go Pens - hottest team in NHL. Looking like they're full boar heading into the playoffs and looking to kick some bollocks in the East.

should be 2-1 Caps lucky penguins. Semin gets that backhand off early in 1st and its 2-1 after the first. It will be 3-1 Caps after 2

Get real, JT is going to have a huge playoff run and if your Penguins happen to luck into the playoffs this year it will be a one and done.

Really? And you base this on all the success he's had in previous playoff years, correct? Has he performed well in the playoffs in the past?

A point is a point...better than none.

Thanks for being a sucker Jose! You gotta love Sid coming thru in the clutch.

We'll take two points.

How many home losses in a row is that for the Caps?

To quote the beloved Mike Lange: "He used him like a rented mule."

That was a solid game.

6 for 6 on the road trip. Don't know how you could call that "lucking" their way into the playoffs.

With any "luck" the Pens will get to face Swiss Cheese Biron or Swiss Cheese Theodore in the playoffs.

JT was money in juniors, and he won the Hart Trophy in 2001-02. What goalies in the Eastern Conference other than Lundqvist and Brodeur are lock-down goalies? No one, certainly not Fleury. He's due. JT got hot at the end of last season and the Avalanche almost made the playoffs despite being at the bottom of the division in March.

I think everyone hopes that if the Pittsburgh Penguins get in (which I don't, my hatred for the Penguins runs real deep) that they are the sixth seed, so that Nick Backstrom & company can wipe the floor with them. There are no shootouts in the playoffs.

I would bet (although it is not permitted on the site) that JT's save percentage in the playoffs will be higher than MAF's.

YouTube - Backstrom Scores on His Own Net!

Still Backstrom's only ever goal against the Pens

That is one weak ass argument for Theodore's sake. I could care less what he did in juniors. Alexandre Daigle was money in juniors and who cares about a Hart Trophy in 01/02???? Fleury is more of a lock down goalie than anyone in the Eastern Conference except Brodeur, and judging by Brodeur's performance last game, I would be hesitant on that.

Lundqvist?????

Fleury better than Lundqvist or Brodeur. Would you please tell me what you are smoking and where I can get some?

Who's playoff stastics are better? Fleury or Lundqvist? Just because Lundqvist makes more doesn't mean he's the better goalie.
