Default Worst Christmas Present Ever

Here is the story about my worst Christmas present ever:

Last year I went halves with my girlfriend on presents for our whole families, parents, aunts uncles, etc...So the gift we got her aunt and uncle was 50 dollars, so 25 dollar cost to me....now I know its not about money its the thought right? well they love different foods so we picked out this nice spicy dip because they like spicy stuff and it came with pretzels.....my gift in return???? A dollar scratch off ticket that didnt even win anything!!!!!! Where the heck is the thought in that? Before we could even leave my girlfriend said sorry lol.

Worst X-mas present ever....well my parents have a habit of giving small complimentary gifts that lead up to a much larger gift. I was in boarding school so I had asked for a printer so I didn't have to trudge to the libary or copy center everytime I wanted to print something out. So my parents hand me Part 1 of my present. I open it up and its...

A package of printer paper!!!!

I hadn't caught on to their games being so young and naive but at least a printer followed it up. Still a package of printer paper for X-mas. I was so upset after opening that one

This is not an entry!!!

However I do want to share my 2 worst presents ever.

One was from my grandmother, it was slipper socks. I was sitting next to my wife and first chance I got I leaned over to her and said "slipper socks, medium" (reference to the movie The Ref)

The other was when cds first came out, I tried replacing my cassettes with cds, and for 3 years in a row, the same grandmother got me the exact same cassette that I was trying to replace. What the hell was I going to do with 4 copies of the exact same album?

My family has done the white elephant gifts for a few years, usually choosing a new victim every year. One year, I opened up one of those books that have a hole cut out in every page where you can actually put the person's picture in there and then it looks as if they are in on the action in every page of the story. It was a cartoon book about the new "player" on a basketball team. When I opened it up, I thought I had become that year's white elephant, but NO, it was my actual gift. Now, this doesn't seem so bad yet, but they used the most current school picture of me at the time....and I was a Junior in high school!

I got a Hot Wheels set when I was about 7 or 8. One of the crazy ones where you could race the race around the track, fully equipped with loop-de-loops and everything. I tried to put it together without the help of my parents and I put one piece in upside down. I wedged it in there pretty good and as my mom tried to get it out, it came out too quickly and hit her square in the face. Four stitches and a few cups of eggnog later she wasn't too mad at me.

And yes I realize that one of my sentence is a massive thats what she said.

Pomade -- I was in my teens -- this didn't happen in the 50s.

When I was Twelve, my mom got me a Unicycle. A FREAKING UNICYCLE! I didn't even know what it was. I never asked for one. Turns out, my mom always wanted to learn how to ride one when she was a kid, so she got me one. It sat in the garage for years. Worst present evar!

Mine is one that I cannot escape year after year - pajama pants. For some reason, everyone in my family thinks I need a different pair for every day of the year. As soon as I see a package shaped like a clothing box I know exactly what's inside. I'm tired of acting excited about them.

NO MORE PAJAMA PANTS!!!

I got a cribbage board from my aunt when I was 9. Had no clue how to play it and knew no one that played cribbage. It sat in the closet for years unused and eventually vanished.

Well then. I'm sure everyone has had that cousin who gets hooked up by their grandparents. One year I remember him opening up some awesome toys for the age we were. My cuz was 2 years younger so I was about 11-12. After watching him open up his remote control truck and some g.I joes. His granny had a smile on her face and passes me this box. I was like, yeeeeaaa gi joes or something. So I'm ripping this box open to only find 10 pairs of woolys. If only I seen my face I'd prolly be laughing at myself right now. I went from looking excited to confusingly shocked while giving a straight smile. Hahaha oh man. Good times. As a kid you kinda expect toys then your surprised by some good ol socks. I'm sure I've received some bad ones but this one clicked right away.
