Boy, what happened to the Capitals????

Last night they got whipped by the Thrashers giving up 5 straight goals, as Theodore is gearing up for his usual playoff mode by allowing 4 goals in 19 shots to one of the worst teams in hockey. Are they falling apart?

Pens up 5-2 on those same Thrashers in the 2nd period.

They better be not i would hate to say it but if they are they need to get Theodore out of there.

good theory , Red Wings lost to the Thrashers 0-8 so that must mean Pitt would beat Detroit like 20-0

If theodore keeps playing like this than i wouldnt want him playing for me in the playoffs.

And tonight they shutout Florida 3-0 and didn't allow a shot on goal in the third period.

If you've been paying attention, and I'm sure you have since you seem to have some obsession with them despite being a Penguins fan, they have a tendency to not show up at times against lesser competition. Against the more elite teams and teams that they have a rivalry with they almost always play to their capabilities.

Last night's game against Atlanta was a debacle, no denying that. They were credited with 8 hits and I struggle to remember any of them. But Boudreau ripped into them and they responded tonight.

As for Theodore, I think he'll be fine. Their weakness is their D. Green has been great on both ends of the ice but the rest of them have been shaky and inconsistent. That group needs to step up in the playoffs if they want to advance far.

No, the Thrashers did not beat us 8-0, that was the Predators.
Yeah because whenever we play the Pens we get shutout 20-0. How about we shut them out 3-0last month.

That's the point people keep making stupid theories on one game. Detroit got whooped by Columbus recently, but that doesn't make me think CLS has a chance.

Tough one tonight for me. Watching Coburn ring one of the crossbar with the Flyers already up 2-0 gave me that bad feeling like that was the momentum changer. Good game but you know Detroit can score in bunches so you really need to put them away when you get your chances. Ryan Parent may be good someday but he got schooled tonight and has been pretty bad lately. I see why Matt Carle has bounced around the last 2 seasons as well. He's a friggin Ryan Whitney clone. At least Parent has an excuse as he is a rookie who really isn't ready for the NHL yet.

I can't for the life of me figure out why Stevens dressed Riley Cote against the Wings ? Thats just dead weight against a team that isn't going to goon it up so why not scratch him ?? He is pretty much useless against any of the Wings lines.
